Student answer (Band 5.5)

A certian number of individuals belive that in digital age, theaters and cinemas are no more important as individuals can watch all the entertainment online. But others argue that cinemas and theaters are still necessary both economically and culturaly. I argue with seconde view because cinemas are more enjoyful than home.

First and farmost, point is that cinemas are more enjoyful than the home theaters because when people went to cinemas or theater then they meet with a lot of people and enjoy movie with manu peoples in front of big screen. Everybody should enjoy every seens of picture as they are also involved in that movies because of big screen and lound sound of speakers. Moreover, by join these entertainig ways people should get different experience of entertainment.

On the other hand, begun with another view firstly, every individuals have different choice than others so people can prefer their own home cinemas to fullfil their choice in movies for entertainment. But, many people can emotionaly connected with some movies and they argue to watch films alone. Secondly, financial savings, citizens can buy subcription one time and watch movies whenever they want rather than spend that money only for buying tickets of the theaters or cinemas.

In conclusion, due to the digital time the use of theater or cinemas can be reduce but, the real experience to watch movies is only feel in cinemas in front of big screen. Although, every person have watched movies and have different choice than others so they can like to use their own online subcription at home and watching films.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You present a clear preference for the view that cinemas remain important, stating that they are “more enjoyful than home,” and you include reasons on both sides. The discussion of online viewing mentions personal choice, watching alone and subscription savings, while the cinema argument refers to the large screen and shared experience. However, the task asks about economic and cultural importance as well as online entertainment. These dimensions are not directly explored: ticket spending is mentioned, but not the wider economic role of cinemas, and the cultural value of shared viewing is only implied. Several points, such as the claim that cinema is more enjoyable, need clearer explanation or a relevant example. Develop both views more fully and connect your opinion to the question’s economic and cultural terms.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the main direction of the discussion. You also use signposts such as “On the other hand,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion.” However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. For example, “On the other hand, begun with another view firstly” combines several transitions awkwardly, and the sentence beginning “Secondly, financial savings” is not grammatically integrated with the preceding point. Some links between ideas are unclear, and the conclusion repeats earlier claims rather than bringing the comparison together. Use fewer, more accurate linking phrases and make each paragraph develop one central point in a clear sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “digital age,” “financial savings,” “subscription,” and “big screen,” so the reader can generally understand the intended ideas. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make the writing less clear or natural. Examples include “certian,” “belive,” “culturaly,” “enjoyful,” and “lound sound.” Phrases such as “join these entertainig ways” and “fullfil their choice in movies” are also difficult to interpret precisely. Aim to learn topic-specific expressions in complete collocations, such as “shared viewing experience” and “streaming subscription,” and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the economic and cultural aspects of the topic.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “as,” and “although.” This shows an effort to connect reasons and contrast ideas. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty; errors in articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction occur frequently enough to make some passages hard to follow. For instance, “when people went to cinemas or theater then they meet” shifts tense and has agreement and article problems, while “every person have watched movies” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. The final sentence, “they can like to use their own online subscription at home and watching films,” also mixes verb patterns. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly controlled subordinate clause before adding more complexity.
