Student answer (Band 4.5)
In today's world, there is a considerable debate about whether theatres and cinemas are no longer important as they were in past. While some people argue that cinemas and theaters are still important, others believe that citzens can watch any etertainment online.
On one hand, individuals believes that in this digital age theaters and cinemas are no longer significant, becasue we can watch everything online
. In this era we can watch anything online. Furthermore, its just away from flick of our hands. A good example of this, is that we can get information of other world through intrenet.
On flip side of coin, other argue that the cinemas and theater are still important. Although families can spend quaility time together, when they went outside to watch movie they can have good time together. In theatewrs they can have fun with other peoples as well. To ilustrates this,
they can interact with diffrent citizens of society and can know about differnt cultures.
In my prespective, cinemas are still are of great importance, because we stay all the time at home. By visting cimemas we can have some llisure time for ourself. Aditionally it can incraese face to face interaction. we va socialize with different members of society.
To put in a nut shell. i pen dwon saying that while both views have thier ownb merits. I belive that cinemas and theater are cultually and ecnomically important. And its crucial for our citizens to consider its importance culturally.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You present a relevant opinion: you believe cinemas remain important, particularly for leisure and face-to-face interaction, and you attempt to discuss both views. However, the discussion is only partial and the supporting ideas are limited. The online-entertainment side is repeated (“we can watch everything online”) rather than explained in depth, while the economic importance mentioned in the prompt is not addressed. Cultural value is touched on through meeting people and learning about cultures, but the connection is not clearly developed. Your conclusion repeats your position without adding support. The response is 239 words, so it is 11 words below the 250-word minimum; the 8 words copied from the prompt were not counted. Develop each side with a specific reason or example and explain its relevance.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two paragraphs presenting opposing views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On one hand,” “On flip side,” and “In my perspective” help readers identify the intended stages. However, progression within paragraphs is weak: the first body paragraph repeats that people can watch anything online, and the second moves between family time, socialising, and cultural knowledge without clearly linking these points. Some transitions are awkward or incomplete, including “To illustrates this,” followed by a line break, and “To put in a nut shell.” The conclusion also repeats earlier claims. Organise each body paragraph around one main reason, then explain it with a connected example; use linking phrases accurately and avoid repeating the same point.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “digital age,” “face to face interaction,” “cultures,” and “importance,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is basic and several ideas rely on repeated words such as “important,” “online,” and “good time.” Frequent spelling errors—such as “citzens,” “intrenet,” “quaility,” and “diffrent”—make the writing less clear and reduce the accuracy of your vocabulary. Some expressions are also unnatural, for example “away from flick of our hands” and “other peoples.” Aim for more precise language to explain the benefits and drawbacks, and proofread spelling and collocations. Using a few accurate topic-specific phrases would help you express the economic and cultural dimensions more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt a few complex forms, including a “While” contrast in the introduction and a “because” clause in your opinion, but most sentences follow simple patterns and control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in “individuals believes” and “other argue”; the sentence “Although families can spend quality time together, when they went outside…” also shifts tense and is awkwardly constructed. Articles and sentence boundaries are sometimes problematic, as in “On flip side of coin” and the isolated full stop before “In this era.” Capitalisation is inconsistent, particularly at the start of “we va socialize” and “i pen dwon.” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, consistent present-tense forms, and complete sentence construction. Build complexity gradually, checking each clause for a clear subject and verb.
