Student answer (Band 5.0)

Some individual says that in this modern technology era, theatres and cinemas are no longer important because people can watch all the entertainment stuff they want at home from online resources. Some ague that there are still important in both aspects economically and culturally.

Firstly, in this digital era everything we want to watch is available online. We don't need to go to the cinema or theratres to watch somethig. Now a days, people are too much busy .They want easiness. When they have a free time and they don't want to go to the theatre or cinema then they can watch the movies at home. The other problem is that the movies are fix in the cinema. If someone want to watch some kind of movie that is not available in cinema at that day then this is the advantage to watch that specific movie online at home. You don't need to buy tickets as well.

On the other hand,we experience a big screen in theatres.Every new movie that is about to release. First it release in cinema. Watching movie in cinema has a very unique and different experience.People enojy the movie on large screen with a good sound effect. They can also enjoy the movie by eating their favourite snacks.

In my point of view watching movie online is better option because some individuals love to watch movies alone. There is no one who will disturb you. For example ,In cinemas, might be possible the person sits beside you cause some disturbance and instead of enjoying you end up with frustration.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views: the first body paragraph explains the convenience and choice offered by online viewing, while the next describes the large screen, sound and social enjoyment of cinemas. Your opinion—that watching online is better—is also stated. However, the discussion is only partially developed. The economic and cultural importance mentioned in the prompt is not really explained; the cinema paragraph focuses mainly on personal enjoyment, and the economic case is absent. Your final preference is supported by one brief example about being disturbed by another viewer, but it does not weigh the opposing benefits or explain why online viewing is better overall. Develop each side with specific reasons and examples, and make your position clearer throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a concluding opinion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly” and “On the other hand” help signal the shift between perspectives. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: “Every new movie that is about to release. First it release in cinema” is disconnected from the following explanation, and the final paragraph introduces a personal preference without a fuller conclusion. Some links are mechanical, and several ideas run together because sentence boundaries and spacing are not consistently controlled. Organise each paragraph around one clear point, connect its explanation and example, and finish with a concise conclusion that brings the discussion together.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “digital era,” “available online,” “large screen,” and “sound effect.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which makes parts of the response awkward or less clear. Examples include “entertainment stuff,” “movies are fix in the cinema,” and “they are still important in both aspects”; more precise phrasing would be “entertainment,” “films shown in cinemas are limited,” and “important economically and culturally.” Spelling errors such as “theratres,” “somethig,” and “enjoy” (written as “enojy”) are also noticeable. Build a more precise range of topic vocabulary and check spelling and natural word combinations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If someone want to watch…” and a reason clause beginning “because.” However, control is inconsistent, and frequent errors sometimes make the reader pause. For example, “Some ague that there are still important” has faulty agreement and an unclear pronoun; “First it release in cinema” has an incorrect verb form and missing article; and “When they have a free time” uses an unnecessary article. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention, as in “Every new movie that is about to release.”, which is a fragment, and “busy .They,” where punctuation and spacing disrupt the flow. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, verb forms, and complete sentence construction.
