Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the discussion and give a personal view, so the response is relevant to the task. The first body paragraph explains the convenience of online entertainment, while the next identifies cultural interaction and economic benefits as reasons cinemas remain valuable. However, these points are only briefly explained: for example, the claim that cinemas “connect youth culturally” is not clarified, and the economic point about ticket purchases and investors needs a more specific explanation. Your position also shifts somewhat: “I somewhat agree” is not fully reconciled with the conclusion, which mainly emphasises the advantages of smart devices and cinema atmosphere. State clearly which view you support and develop each side with a concrete, relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. This makes the discussion easy to follow in broad terms. You also use linking expressions such as “Further,” “Moreover,” and “in conclusion.” However, some connections feel mechanical, and the progression within paragraphs is not always clear. For instance, “in addition to share their views” is a fragment that interrupts the point about cultural connection, while the move from economic growth to “melody tune system” is abrupt. The opinion paragraph largely repeats earlier claims rather than bringing them together. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make each paragraph develop one central idea through explanation and a relevant example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “digital devices,” “economical growth,” “culturally,” and “fascinating ambience.” This shows some effort to use topic-specific language, but the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate enough to make parts difficult to interpret. Examples include “technology hype,” “melody tune system,” and “fetch out the intreset,” which do not express the intended ideas naturally. There are also spelling errors such as “interent,” “lesiure,” and “threaters.” Aim for precise, familiar collocations before trying more elaborate phrases: for example, describe the “immersive cinema experience” or say that cinemas “support local employment.” Proofreading spelling and word forms would also improve clarity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and attempts at longer structures, including “Although” is not used, but you do connect ideas with clauses such as “because they connect youth culturally.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms occur throughout. For example, “other believe” needs subject–verb agreement, “these are important” has an unclear reference, and “this help to maintain” needs a plural or singular subject matched to its verb. The sentence beginning “web connection can not replace the cinemas” also runs several ideas together without clear punctuation. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly attached supporting clause, then check articles, verb endings, and sentence boundaries.
