Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views and state your own position: online entertainment is convenient, while cinemas and theatres still offer social and cultural value. The point that online viewing “saves their time” is relevant, and you support your opinion with the example of people rushing to book a film’s first show. However, the discussion is uneven and several ideas remain general. The economic side of the opposing view is only briefly mentioned through artists’ livelihoods, with no explanation of how venues support jobs or local businesses. Likewise, the cultural claim that theatres take people “back to their roots” is unclear and needs a specific example. Develop each side with clearer reasoning and evidence, and make your position more explicit throughout the essay.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph presenting the decline in venue use, a contrasting paragraph, your opinion, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes abrupt. For example, the shift from online viewing saving time to changing tastes for “series” is not explained, and the paragraph about theatres moves quickly from authenticity to artists’ livelihoods. Some linking phrases are also mechanical or repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “people” and “these days.” Build clearer links between each claim and its explanation, and use pronouns or more precise references so that phrases such as “these sources” and “it” have unmistakable meanings.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “digital revolution,” “entertainment,” “livelihood,” “social exposure,” and “bonding and connection.” These choices allow you to discuss both online viewing and the social role of venues. However, word choice and collocation are sometimes inaccurate or unclear, as in “loosing their identity,” “enjoys with their friends,” and “theatres take people back to their roots.” There are also spelling and form errors, including “Inspite” and “entertainments” where the singular or a different expression would be more natural. Aim for precise, natural combinations rather than broad phrases such as “everything on internet.” Proofreading spelling and choosing more exact terms for cultural and economic benefits would make your ideas clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including the opening contrast “Art may change its form, but it never dies” and clauses introduced by “because” and “while.” The main meaning is generally understandable, but errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and punctuation occur across the response. Examples include “other thinks” instead of “others think,” “people still enjoys” instead of “people still enjoy,” and “it provide them” instead of “it provides them.” In “Whenever new film came,” the article and tense are also problematic. Commas are often separated from the preceding word, and some sentences run together. Review subject–verb agreement and article use, then proofread sentence boundaries and punctuation while retaining your attempts at complex structures.
