Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both sides of the discussion and give a position in the conclusion: online viewing is convenient, while cinemas offer a shared experience and cultural value. Relevant support includes watching at home, saving travel and ticket costs, and cinemas contributing revenue. However, the economic and cultural arguments are less fully explained than the convenience points. For example, “make economically country strong” and the claim that government then provides more services need a clearer cause-and-effect explanation. Your opinion is also only partly explicit: the conclusion calls for a “balanced approach” but could state more directly how important cinemas remain alongside online entertainment. Develop each main claim with a specific explanation or example to make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion. Within paragraphs, however, some ideas are joined mechanically or their relationships are unclear. The cinema paragraph moves from cultural heritage to national economic strength, government services, and community interaction without explaining the links between them. There is also repetition of convenience and home viewing in the first body paragraph. Group related points and use clearer referencing and transitions to show how each example supports the paragraph’s main idea; this would make the progression more consistently logical.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “online streaming platforms,” “flexibility,” “cultural heritage,” “revenue,” and “community.” These choices make the subject clear, and you attempt to express both economic and cultural benefits. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “a lot of data” for entertainment content, “watching experience and understanding,” and “more revenue will be generate.” Some phrases are also repetitive, particularly references to convenience and watching at home. Aim for more precise combinations such as “a wide range of content,” “an immersive viewing experience,” and “generate more revenue.” Greater accuracy and variety in collocation would make your ideas sound more natural and precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “because of” and a concession structure with “although.” Meaning is generally recoverable, but errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur across the response. Examples include “platforms has” and “They provides,” where plural subjects require plural verbs, and “These places promotes,” which has the same agreement problem. “More revenue will be generate” needs a correct passive form, while “For instance, someone has to watch movie, they can watch…” is an incomplete and awkwardly joined construction. The conclusion’s “although” clause is also left without a complete main clause. Check subject–verb agreement and ensure each sentence has a complete, correctly linked structure.
