Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, watching shows,tv serials and all other Online streaming videos and dramas are commonly increasing.

I personally believe that both the ideas of going out for cinemas and Watching shows online are preferably by the people according to their choices. Some people loves to watch movies, shows on the day of streaming or realease so, they perfer to book the first show and will went outside for cinemas for watching that shows. On the other side, few people don't like to go outside and watch the movies. Some of the introvert people also came among them that they hate social gatherings and hanging out with friends or family so, they avoid to go outside for the cinemas. These people just love being alone and enjoy their own company by sitting relaxed on a sofa and watcing shows online.

Again if we see from a different point of view the cultural shows or activities like the circus, bhavay(a gujarati folk natak) that all organized by the communities and for that the cinemas, theatres are important part to show it to todays generation. As todays generation only think that online shows are only the better option rather than going outside and spending money on lot. Online streaming platforms like Netflix,Mx player, OTTs shows all are the reason behind the reducing impact of the cinemas and theaters. People will worth paying money online for watching shows online instead of hanging out with people.

Thus,we can say that at some point it is important for the todays generation for going outside and watching shows on cinemas specially for cultural activities and gaining knowledge about it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a personal view that both online viewing and going to cinemas have a place, and you include relevant points about convenience, social preferences and cultural performances such as Gujarati folk theatre. However, the task asks you to discuss both views, including the economic and cultural importance of theatres and cinemas. The economic side is only touched on through people paying for online services rather than going out; there is little explanation of how cinemas support jobs, businesses or communities. Your position is also not fully consistent: you begin by supporting both choices, but the conclusion mainly recommends going out for cultural activities. Develop each side with a clear reason and example, then state your overall view consistently.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, a discussion of viewing preferences, a paragraph about cultural performances and streaming, and a concluding sentence. This gives it some organisation, and phrases such as “On the other side” and “Again if we see from a different point of view” signal shifts. However, the overall progression is not always clear: the second paragraph combines release-day cinema visits with introversion, while the next moves between cultural shows, online platforms and spending without clearly linking the points. Some transitions are awkward or repetitive, and the conclusion does not clearly resolve the two views. Organise the body into one paragraph for online entertainment and one for the continuing value of venues, using clear topic sentences and references.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “online streaming platforms,” “social gatherings,” “cultural activities” and “generation,” which helps communicate the main subject. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “bhavay (a Gujarati folk natak).” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, including “shows” used repeatedly, “the day of streaming or realease,” and “worth paying money online.” Spelling errors such as “perfer,” “watcing” and “realease” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of precise terms for venues, audiences and economic effects, and check spelling and natural word combinations when editing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses beginning with “Some people” and “so,” and the main ideas are generally understandable. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence boundaries. For example, “Some people loves” should use a plural verb, while “will went outside” combines incompatible verb forms. In “the cinemas, theatres are important part,” the article and plural structure are unclear. Punctuation and spacing also make some sentences difficult to follow, particularly where several ideas are joined with commas. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and past or future forms, and divide long sentences into shorter, correctly punctuated units.
