Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is argued by many people that in the modren era, movie theatres are not essential because mostly individuals can watch entertainment programs on social media platforms other put forward their opinion is that cinemas are still crucial role for both economically and culturally. In my opinion, playhouse and movie house are vital for develop culture.
On the one side of the argument, some people believe that movie house are not neccesary in the modren era. The most compelling reason for bellieving this is that youngsters are usually use their own product such as mobile phone, laptop and tablets for watching videos and listen to music. If government spent money on these sector, citizens can not come to enjoy there. Then it makes a big financial damage to government and owners. Furthermore, every people have their own entertainment sources, they can use that. It is also benificial because people can use it anytime and anywhere. For example, people who want to watch movie but they have not enough money to parchase tickets, they can use their laptop and mobiles.
on the other hand, many people believe that movie house is essential for generate revenue and expand to the culture. If people go to cinema for watching film and darams, they can better understand their culture. Auditorium provide a work for many actors. When people give their attention to this sector actors also feel motivate and give their full support. In conclusion, i believe that although people can entertainment on own source, theatres and cinemas are no longer important as people can watch all the entertainment they want online

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You present both views and give a personal opinion, so the response is relevant to the question. The first body paragraph explains the convenience and affordability of online entertainment, while the second mentions cultural understanding and employment for actors. However, the discussion is only partial: the economic case for cinemas is asserted through “generate revenue” but not explained, and the cultural point needs a specific example or clearer development. Your position is also inconsistent. The introduction says theatres are vital, but the conclusion says they are “no longer important,” which supports the opposing view. State one clear position and maintain it, then develop each side with reasons and relevant examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs presenting opposing views, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On the one side” and “on the other hand” help signal the change in viewpoint. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the claim that people cannot “come to enjoy there” does not clearly follow from the point about government spending, and the link between audience attention and actors’ motivation is not fully explained. Some transitions are mechanical, and the conclusion does not resolve the discussion because it contradicts the introduction. Use clearer links between each claim and its explanation, and make the final paragraph summarise a consistent position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “financial damage,” “revenue,” “culture,” and “entertainment sources,” which helps communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “expand to the culture,” “give their attention to this sector,” and “own product” for devices. Spelling errors such as “modren,” “neccesary,” “believing,” and “benificial” are also noticeable. These issues sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning. Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing cultural value, employment, and online access, and check spelling and collocations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “If government spent money on these sector, citizens can not come to enjoy there.” However, complex attempts are often faulty, and frequent errors affect clarity. Examples include “movie theatres are not essential because mostly individuals can watch,” “youngsters are usually use,” and “Auditorium provide a work,” which show problems with sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, and articles. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly at the start of the final body paragraph and in “i believe.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then check subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and articles before adding subordinate clauses.
