Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You introduce both sides of the debate and give a brief personal view in “both aspects move side by side,” so the response is relevant to the question. However, the discussion is highly uneven: the online-entertainment side receives several examples, while the economic and cultural importance of theatres and cinemas is only asserted, not explained. Your opinion is also unclear because you do not say which view you support or why. The response is 54 words below the required minimum, which leaves too little space to develop the arguments. To improve, explain specific economic and cultural benefits, compare them with online access, and state a clear position supported by examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph beginning “on one hand,” a contrasting paragraph beginning “on the other hand,” and a concluding opinion. These signposts help readers identify the two views. However, progression within the main paragraph is weak: examples of videos, news, games, films and livestreams are listed without being grouped or connected to a central explanation. The second side is too brief to form a balanced discussion, and the conclusion does not clearly resolve the comparison. Some linking phrases, such as “however,” do not show a clear contrast with the preceding point. Organise each side around one main claim, explain it, and use linking words only where the relationship is clear.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a range of topic-related words, including “entertainment,” “online games,” “latest movies,” “cultural development” and “global communications.” This gives the reader a general sense of the subject. However, vocabulary is often repetitive or imprecise, and frequent spelling errors make some phrases difficult to understand, such as “economical strength,” “fanfollowing” and “physical ground performance.” Several expressions are also unnatural, including “make themselves relax” and “at staying their homes.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “streaming platforms,” “box-office revenue” and “shared cultural experience” would help you explain the topic more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt some longer sentences and use basic contrast structures, including “while others argue” and “not only … but also.” However, sentence control is inconsistent, and errors frequently affect clarity. For example, “many individuals believes” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, while “latest inventions allow people to adopt” lacks an article before “latest inventions.” Several sentences run together without appropriate punctuation, particularly the long sequence of online activities in the first body paragraph. There are also problems with sentence construction, as in “children choose to play … at staying their homes.” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine related ideas with controlled clauses. Check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries during proofreading.
