Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is a fact that, we need the element of entertainment in our life. Without activities we can not have a normal life. Everyone must have a source of happiness to relax and regain the energy to work again. People have different views about the importance of theatres and cinemas in the mordern or online age of the world. In my perspective, both viewpoints have their benifits and drawbacks and I believe that, a balanced approch in the most reasonable way to address the topic.
On the one hand, watching movies and series in the theatres can make a lifetime memory for an individuals. In the fast phase of our life we never have time to spent our moments with friends and families, by watching in the theatres, we can have a quality time with our families and friends. For example, my friends and I went to a theatres to watch a movie called spider man. While watching this movie we not only enjoy the movie but also spent a quality time together. Moreover, these theatres are contributing in our entertainment industry as well as our ecomony.
On the other hand, going to theatres is really hactic sometimes. As our transportation system is not well organized, most of the time we got late in the theatres. Furthermore, the quality of the theatres is below average most of the country. As a result, watching online is more suffecient in term of saving times and a better experienced in our house. We just need a subscription in a OTT platform to access and watch the content online. However, most of us uses third party softwares of sites to access them with no cost which is not suggested by the authorities. For example, I watch films in Netflix so that my data and security reamain safe.
In conclusion, although online platforms offers several advantages, it also presents certain challenges. However, by adopting appropriate measures such as safety and privacy, the benifites can be maximized. Therefore, the banalced approch is the most sensible way to deal with this matter.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both perspectives and give a general position: you favour a “balanced approach.” The examples about spending time with friends at a cinema and watching Netflix online are relevant, and you mention economic contribution. However, the discussion does not fully explain the cultural importance of theatres and cinemas, while the online side focuses mainly on convenience, transport and privacy rather than the broader benefits of digital entertainment. Your conclusion repeats the balanced position but does not clarify how the two forms of entertainment should coexist. Develop each view with a more direct explanation and support your opinion with a clear comparison of their roles.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the broad direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes loose: the first body paragraph moves from shared experiences to the economy without explaining the connection, and the second shifts from travel difficulties to theatre quality, online access and piracy. Some linking phrases, including “Moreover” and “Furthermore,” add points without showing their relationship. Organise each paragraph around one main claim, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “entertainment industry,” “subscription,” “content online,” and “data and security,” so the meaning is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several spelling errors or inaccurate word choices are noticeable, such as “mordern,” “benifits,” “hactic,” and “suffecient.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “fast phase of our life,” “a better experienced,” and “in term of saving times.” These issues make parts of the response less precise and fluent. Build a bank of accurate collocations for this topic, and check spelling and word forms carefully; for example, use “hectic,” “sufficient,” and “a better experience.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “As a result” and “although,” and most ideas remain understandable. However, errors occur across sentence structures, agreement, articles and verb forms. For example, “I believe that, a balanced approach in the most reasonable way” is not a complete grammatical clause, while “most of us uses” should have subject–verb agreement. In “we never have time to spent,” the verb pattern is incorrect, and “these theatres” is followed by “are contributing” where a more suitable tense is needed. Commas also interrupt clauses unnecessarily. Practise complete sentence patterns and check agreement, verb forms and punctuation during revision.
