Student answer (Band 5.0)
Theatres and cinemas were very popular among people after invention of TVs and large screens. In this digital age, mostly people argue that cinemas and theatres have lost their importance for entertainment purpose. Also some community still vote in the side of cinemas and theatres with including different culture and ecnomical facts. I argue that cinemas and theatres are not popular among people.
Current decade is known as digital era. Due to latest technology and invention of electronic devices like mobiles and laptops, cinemas and theatres lost their popularity in the life of many citizens. Mostly poeple now find the best way for enjoyment in which they do not need to pay extra efforts. Cinemas and theatres demand financial efforts and also lot of time in entertaining people. However, in this stage of hurry and quick work against each task, no one pay much attention to go to cinema houses. They just make few clicks on their electronic devices and watch all entertainment materials according to their own choice without paying less financial and time efforts.
On the other side, there are also some people that have deep interest to visit cinemas and theatres for entertainment purposes. They believe that, they could not have more enjoyment in any other place rather than watching movies, dramas and series live in theatres and cinemas. So, they mostly recommend cinemas and theatres. They argue that Cinemas and theatres are not only for watching somethings. Instead of this, these places are giving us a way to walk out and to built interacion with different people of community. They strongly believe that physical visit and attraction make them more confident and familer with others as well.
To sum up above discussion, cinemas and theatres both are becoming less crucial between majority of people. Everyday, many latest technology are inventing which result people to get entertainment at any place without less paying efforts in term of finance and time. That's why they enjoy more and make fun and entertainment at houses, offices, busses, and other places like these.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses both views and gives a position: you explain that online entertainment is convenient and state that cinemas and theatres are becoming less popular. The paragraph about in-person venues also introduces cultural and social value, particularly the chance to meet people. However, the task asks specifically about their economic and cultural importance, and these points are not developed clearly. The economic side is largely reduced to the cost of visiting, while the cultural contribution is barely explained. Your opinion that venues are “not popular” is clear in places but is not consistently weighed against the opposing view. Develop each side with specific reasons or examples, then make your final position more balanced and explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the broad direction of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes repetitive, especially the repeated claims that people prefer entertainment at home because it saves time and money. Linking phrases such as “On the other side” and “To sum up above discussion” signal transitions, but some connections between ideas are unclear or mechanical. The conclusion mainly repeats the first view rather than bringing both sides together. Improve cohesion by grouping related reasons, using clearer references to earlier points, and ensuring each paragraph develops one central idea in a logical sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “digital era,” “electronic devices,” “financial efforts,” and “physical visit,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited by repeated use of “cinemas and theatres,” “entertainment,” and “people,” and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unnatural. For example, “vote in the side” and “pay extra efforts” do not express the intended meanings clearly, while “latest technology are inventing” is an awkward phrase. Spelling errors such as “ecn omical,” “familer,” and “interacion” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise range of topic vocabulary and check common word partnerships and spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts both simple and longer sentences, including a reason clause beginning “Due to latest technology” and a contrast introduced by “However.” This shows some effort to vary sentence forms, but complex constructions are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the text difficult to read. Examples include “no one pay much attention,” “they could not have more enjoyment,” and “these places are giving us a way … to built,” where agreement, verb forms, or sentence construction need correction. Articles and plural forms are also inconsistent, as in “after invention of TVs” and “many latest technology.” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and keep longer sentences simpler until you can control their structure.
