Student answer (Band 5.5)
Entertainment in life makes people feel glad of life. Many people now think that the usage of cinemas and theatres has reduced which is true yet, not are totally useless. I will discuss in detail in body paragraph.
To begin with, some people say that they can watch all kind of entertainment online at homes which is definitely true. This saves alot of money that people spend on booking of tickets of cinemas. Moreover, it saves the fuel cost that people spend to get to the cinemas. Further more, it gives you a chance to relax in your comfort zone while you are watching your favourites show or movie. Therefore, This is much reliable and cost effective in so many possible ways.
Yet some people dont think it the same way. They argue that theatres and cinemas as still important culturally and economically. This is also true to some extent. Watching entertainment in cinemas and theatres gives you a chance to gather other people's views on the show they watching. Moreover, it gives them a chance to get ideas from different people when they are around them. Some people think that watching with people is much fun rather than watching alone at home. It saves the cost of internet that you spend on watching at home for some people. Further more, It helps the culture alive of cinemas, Some old cinemas stay alive in this way with their older themes.
As per my conclusion, watching all the entertainment online is a better choice especially economically and also in terms of security precautions. There is no need the spend fuel and unnecessary money on tickets etc.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and give a clear preference for online entertainment in the conclusion, supported by points about ticket and travel costs. The discussion of online viewing is more developed than the case for cinemas and theatres, which is why the response only partially fulfils the task. For example, the cultural argument relies on meeting other viewers and keeping older cinemas alive, but these points are not explained with a specific example or a clear account of their wider cultural or economic value. Your opening also says you will discuss the issue but does not establish your position clearly; the conclusion introduces it more directly. Develop each side with a concrete example and explain how it supports your view.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion, so the reader can follow its broad organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and several points are added in a list-like way rather than developed in a clear sequence. Connectors such as “Moreover,” “Further more,” and “Therefore” are repeated or do not always show the precise relationship between ideas. The reference in “the show they watching” is also unclear, and the conclusion does not fully draw together the cultural argument. Use a clearer topic sentence for each paragraph, group related reasons, and explain each reason before moving to the next.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “booking of tickets,” “fuel cost,” “comfort zone,” and “culturally and economically.” However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or unnatural, which can make the reader pause. Examples include “glad of life,” “all kind of entertainment,” “the culture alive,” and “security precautions.” Repetition of “saves” and “chance” also restricts precision. Aim to learn common collocations for this topic and choose words that express the intended meaning directly; for instance, explain the specific cultural role of cinemas rather than using the vague phrase “the culture alive.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences using connectors such as “while,” “which,” and “rather than,” but most structures are simple, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “not are totally useless” has incorrect word order, while “the show they watching” is missing an auxiliary verb. There are also problems with articles and sentence construction in “There is no need the spend fuel,” and punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent, as in “Therefore, This.” These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the overall argument, but they limit accuracy. Practise building accurate complex sentences and check verb forms, word order, articles, and sentence boundaries.
