Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this modern era people are consuming entertainment online rather visiting theatres and cinemas cause people feel if they can watch the same moive at home at their comfort rather than traveling long distance to cinemas or theatres. While other thinks that theatres and cinemas are still important as production houses can benifit economically and this holds cultural value.
Now a days people are more inclined towards instant dopamine so they prefer to consume entertainment online and they feel it's no longer important to go theatres and cinemas. In my opnion entertainment industries have shift their focus more on online web series cause most of the people watch moive at night after a long day as they do not have energy as well as time to go Cinemas. Due to a sudden trend in online web series people are less focusing on long form of entertainment such as moive.
Theatres and cinemas play a significant role in revenue generation as this is considered to be the primary source of income for Artist and models. In 1900's there was a culture to attend theatres as they do not have mobile phone to watch moives. I feel we should not leave our culture and theatres is a whole different exprience , I used to heard from my mother about theatres expriences she had .
In conclusion, people are consuming entertainment considerably more online but we must not forget old day's when we used to visit cinemas with friends. We should enjoy exprienceing both types of entertainment rather than one.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and give a personal position: online viewing is convenient, while cinemas offer cultural value and a distinct experience. The examples about watching after a tiring day and your mother’s memories are relevant, but the discussion remains general and some claims are not fully explained. For instance, the point that cinemas are a primary income source for “Artist and models” needs clearer support and a more direct link to the economic importance of theatres and cinemas. The cultural argument is also asserted rather than developed. Your opinion is most explicit in the final paragraph, so make it clear earlier and explain why you believe both forms should continue to be enjoyed. More specific reasoning and examples would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the broad direction of your discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the second paragraph moves from convenience to “instant dopamine,” then to web series and long-form entertainment without fully connecting these points. Linking phrases such as “While” and “In conclusion” are used, but relationships between ideas are not always made explicit, and some references are vague. For example, “this” in the economic paragraph could refer to cinemas, revenue generation, or the experience. Organise each body paragraph around one main claim, then explain and illustrate it in a clear sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “entertainment industries,” “revenue generation,” “cultural value,” and “long form of entertainment.” These choices show an attempt to discuss the issue beyond basic everyday language. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “moive,” “benifit,” “opnion,” and “exprience.” Some phrases are also imprecise or unnatural, such as “instant dopamine,” “primary source of income for Artist and models,” and “experienceing both types.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully; more precise terms for the economic and cultural roles of cinemas would strengthen the discussion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrastive opening with “While” and a reason introduced by “as.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “people are consuming entertainment online rather visiting” is missing “than,” while “other thinks” has a subject–verb agreement error. Verb forms are also inaccurate in “industries have shift” and “I used to heard.” Articles, plurals, and sentence construction need attention in phrases such as “go theatres” and “theatres is a whole different exprience.” Punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent, too. Practise building accurate sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement, verb forms, and articles.
