Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people view as in the twenty first century, theatres and cinemas are no longer important as people can watch all types of entertainment they want online. While others may say theatres and cinemas are still plays a crucial role both economically and culturally. Both the views has some flaws and benifits.
In the past theatres and cinemas were the only way of entertainment. However, in recent years, technological advancements allows us watch all types entertainment online. Now a days, we can search the types of entertainment we want and watch it, no need to go out of ur home or pay a good amount of money. Short videos are most popular form of entertainment, you can watch funny, sad or motivational videos. In addition to that, i can watch news, debates; learning a new topic, watching any podcast etc whenevere I want. Sports are most popular form of entertainments; cricket, football, baseball. Online entertainments are more convenient to watch and ecenomically important. Furthermore, anyone can represent their culture by making videos also in world state playes showcase there countries history and culture.
I firmly believe that cinema is the best way to connect to the people. Can deliver message directly to the consumers. For instance, most of us know about the holocost against jews in the second world war by either watch movies theatre performance. Recently watched a bangla movie based on real story, in which a worker moved to the middle east and dies there. How hard it was for his family to bring a deadbody to his hometown. Just by watch a short videos or news no one would understand the horror they have gone through. Movies about indipendant war in 1971, how hard life was back then. Although, now a days most of the people prefer online entertainment over cenema and theatre. Movies and theatre do provide jobs and earn money by producing it.
In conclusion, although online entertainment are prefered one but no one can oppose that both cinema and theatre are still important economically and culturally.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear personal position: online entertainment is convenient, but cinema and theatre remain culturally and economically important. The examples of a Bangla film about a migrant worker and films about the 1971 independence war help explain how screen stories can communicate history and hardship. However, the two sides are not developed equally. The benefits of online entertainment are listed, but the claim that it is economically important is not explained, and the cultural point about people representing their culture through videos is brief. Your conclusion restates your view, but could more directly weigh the economic and cultural roles of both forms of entertainment. The response meets the task requirements; 12 words copied from the prompt were excluded from the count.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on online entertainment, a paragraph supporting cinema and theatre, and a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic route through your discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and several ideas are placed together without clear links. For example, the online paragraph moves from short videos to news, podcasts, sports, economics, and cultural representation. The transition “I firmly believe” signals your position, but the following paragraph combines historical examples, a personal example, current preferences, and employment without clearly separating their roles. Use topic sentences and group related points, then connect them with precise references rather than relying mainly on “Furthermore” and “Although.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “technological advancements,” “consumers,” “culture,” and “independence war,” and the examples make your meaning generally understandable. However, the range is limited in places, with repeated use of “entertainment,” “watch,” and “important.” Several word-choice and spelling errors also reduce precision, such as “ecenomically,” “holocost,” “indipendant,” and “cenema.” Some phrases are awkward or unclear, including “world state playes showcase there countries history” and “Movies and theatre do provide jobs and earn money by producing it.” Aim for accurate collocations and more precise terms—for example, distinguish between “online content,” “film screenings,” and “live performances”—and proofread spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “Although” and a relative clause in “a Bangla movie based on real story, in which a worker moved to the middle east.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, verb forms, articles, and punctuation sometimes make the reader work to understand the point. Examples include “theatres and cinemas are still plays,” “Both the views has,” and “technological advancements allows us watch.” The fragment “Can deliver message directly to the consumers” also lacks a clear subject, while “Just by watch a short videos” has an incorrect verb pattern. Practise complete sentences and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb forms; this will make your ideas clearer while preserving your attempts at complex structures.
