Student answer (Band 5.5)
The growth of digitalization is very prominent in our daily lives. Nowadays many people are watching movies through Ott Apps because they can watch in the comfort zone with there family.
On one hand some Die hard fans who are waiting for a movie for 2-3 years wants to watch it in the theatres but everytime going to theatres are not so good because for a Pan India movie there will be huge public and some people can not tolerate the sounds and noise people make when they see there Favorite Star on big screen. And there might be stampeds in the theatres because of the crowd. It is important for the states economy but not always good.
On the other hand if we wait for 2 -3 months we can watch in the Ott Apps which is effortable and comfortable for us. It is also indirectly helps the economy and culture. Moreover in covid time the Ott and TV channels was the main source of the entertainment.
I partially agree with the statement because the theatres plays there siginifcant role in contributing in the economy and culture. Moreover today's genaration are more into mobiles and tabs because of that the usage of the Apps got increased. And people finding the entertainment at there feet, So people are more attracted to online apps. Neverthelss, both are important to people and sometimes they watch it in online and sometimes they go for a movie date vis versa to contribute for the National interest.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both perspectives and give a personal view, particularly in “I partially agree,” so the response is relevant to the question. You mention convenience and affordability of online viewing, and the theatres’ contribution to the economy and culture. However, these points are only briefly explained, and the discussion does not clearly establish how cinemas contribute culturally or economically beyond stating that they do. The crowd and noise concerns are relevant but take up space without being connected to a developed comparison of the two forms of entertainment. Your position also becomes less clear when you conclude that both are important without explaining the conditions under which one is preferable. Develop each side with a specific example and make your final opinion more decisive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic paragraph structure, and “On one hand” and “On the other hand” signal the two views. The final paragraph also attempts to state your position. However, progression between ideas is uneven: the first body paragraph moves from fans’ enthusiasm to noise, possible stampedes, and the economy without showing how these points connect. The second paragraph shifts from waiting for online releases to affordability, the economy, culture, and the pandemic. Some linking phrases, such as “Moreover” and “Nevertheless,” are used, but they do not always clarify the relationship between claims. Referencing is also unclear in phrases such as “It is also indirectly helps.” Organise each paragraph around one main argument, then explain and illustrate it before moving on.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “digitalization,” “entertainment,” “economy,” and “culture,” and phrases such as “big screen” help communicate your meaning. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the message difficult to follow. For example, “comfort zone” is not natural in this context, “effortable” appears to mean affordable, and “contribute for the National interest” is unclear. There are also noticeable spelling and form errors, including “signifcant,” “genaration,” and “Neverthelss.” Aim for precise, natural expressions rather than relying on broad terms such as “important” and “good,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if we wait for 2–3 months we can watch…” and a reason introduced by “because.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “some Die hard fans … wants” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “the theatres plays” and “the Ott and TV channels was” also show agreement problems. “It is also indirectly helps” combines incompatible verb patterns, and the final sentence contains several clauses joined without clear punctuation. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected supporting clause, then check subject–verb agreement and verb forms.
