Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views and give a clear overall preference for the continuing economic and cultural value of theatres and cinemas. The discussion of online viewing is relevant, with examples such as pausing a film and avoiding restrictions on noise or disturbance. However, the cultural and economic points are asserted rather than explained: “magnificent revenues” and preserving “cultural inheritance” would be more convincing with a specific example or explanation of how these benefits arise. Your introduction also says the essay will discuss the views, but the conclusion mainly repeats your position rather than weighing the arguments. Develop each side more fully and make your own judgement explicit throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph for the online-viewing argument, one for the continuing importance of venues, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “However,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the discussion. At times, though, cohesion is mechanical or unclear. The repeated phrase “theaters and cinemas” and repeated use of “So” make the prose feel repetitive, while “Despite the appeal of that” has an unclear reference. The first body paragraph also moves through several examples without a clear hierarchy. Use more precise referencing and organise each paragraph around a main claim followed by explanation and an example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “digital era,” “technological advancement,” “local economy,” and “cultural inheritance,” and the reader can generally understand your meaning. However, the range is limited by repeated wording such as “important,” “contents,” and “theaters and cinemas,” and several choices or collocations are inaccurate or unnatural: “recreational contents,” “on your own base,” and “nourish the local economy.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “necessory,” “Internt,” “smetimes,” and “reseachs.” These reduce precision and can make the reader pause. Build a bank of accurate topic collocations and proofread spelling; choose words that express the intended meaning naturally rather than relying on repeated general terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “while,” “when,” and “that,” and your main ideas are usually understandable. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors recur in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation. For example, “This essay will discuss that why” has an incorrect clause pattern, while “theaters and cinemas … are still important in an economic and cultural perspectives” has problems with number and sentence structure. In “people … don't even need to go … to entertain themselfes,” the reflexive pronoun does not agree with the plural subject. Practise building accurate subordinate clauses and check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries. Greater control would make your ideas easier to follow.
