Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both perspectives: online entertainment is described as cheaper and available at any time, while cinemas are linked to shared enjoyment, cultural value and employment. Your position is also stated: “I believe theatre and cinema culture should not end.” However, the discussion is only partial and the ideas remain under-developed. The economic point is introduced at the end (“provides varied job opportunities and increase economy”) but is not explained or supported, and the cultural importance of theatres is less clear than the discussion of cinemas. The response also ends mid-sentence. The required minimum length is not met, which contributes to the limited development. Extend each main point with a specific explanation or example and conclude by directly weighing the two views.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: the opening introduces the debate and your opinion, the next paragraph gives historical context, and the final paragraph discusses online convenience and the benefits of cinemas. This gives the reader a basic route through the response. However, progression is not consistently clear, and several ideas are placed together without showing how they connect. For example, the final paragraph moves from time flexibility to isolation, then to cinematic enjoyment, cultural relaxation and economic benefits. Linking phrases such as “Although” and “Recently” are used, but connections between claims are sometimes abrupt, and the response has no concluding paragraph. Group related points more clearly, use referencing and transitions precisely, and finish with a concise summary of your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “availability,” “time efficient,” “cinematic experience,” and “job opportunities.” These choices show an attempt to discuss convenience, culture and economic effects. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “economical boost,” “culturally importance,” “quality cinematography,” and “bring solitude to ones mind.” Spelling errors, including “becuase,” “conersely,” and “ecnomically,” are noticeable and can distract the reader. Aim for more precise topic vocabulary and check spelling and word forms carefully. For instance, describe cinemas as contributing to “economic growth” and explain their “cultural significance” rather than relying on broad or awkward phrases.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “Although theatre plays were still in…” and a reason introduced by “because.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “When in past entertainment needed big screens is now confined to a small phones,” where the time contrast and sentence structure are unclear, and “It influence people,” which has incorrect subject–verb agreement. Articles, plurals and sentence boundaries also need attention: “watch movie,” “a small phones,” and the run-on punctuation in “economically.it provides.” Practise building complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and check agreement, articles, plurals and punctuation before submitting.
