Student answer (Band 5.5)
In digital age, many people believe that theatres and cinemas are no longer important because individual can watch all the entertainment program they want online while some argue that these are still important both economically and culturally. It is widely believed that this issue has become increasingly significant in all modern socities of the world. While this trends offers numerous benefits such as saves time and money it also raises certain concerns like economy down. In my personal perspective, cinemas and theartres are paramount for economy and culture. This essay will discuss why these are still necessary.
To begin with, many people think that cinema and theatre are no needed due to technology enhancement One major benefit of this developed is that saves money. Such as, people can easily watch any new movie or program that launch in cinema it saves their expenxe of buying tickets. This will lead to give they can invest money on any other activity that they liked. In addition, this development also saves time of people. For example, they have no need to go to cinema for watching something its saves their travelling time and also cost. As a result, they can esaily do any other work in this time and after that people watch movies in their free time.
On the other hand, tha main reason of why theatre and cinema important is that culture is main aspect. For instance, if people not goes to cinema for watching movies its affects to culture individual cant understand about cultural values without going to theatres. As a result, their interest on culture reduce. Moreover, these factors are also important for economy. For example, when people goes to cinema they contribute for economy to buy ticket and also increased others interest to cinema.
In conclusion, some people think that theatres and cinemas are no longer needed because of digital development while critics believed there is still need of cinemas. In my opinion, these are still important for culture

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You present a clear opinion that cinemas and theatres remain important, and you include reasons on both sides: online viewing can save money and time, while venues contribute to culture and the economy. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The online-viewing paragraph explains convenience but does not explore the opposing view beyond these practical benefits, and the cultural claim that people cannot understand cultural values without attending theatres is asserted rather than supported. The economic point is also brief and general. Your conclusion repeats the debate but ends without fully restating your position or summarising why you hold it. Develop each main idea with a clearer explanation or a specific example, and make your final opinion explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the broad structure. Within paragraphs, however, progression is sometimes uneven. For example, the first body paragraph moves from saving money to saving time, then to doing other work, with some repetition rather than a developed sequence. References such as “these factors” and “this development” are not always precise, so the reader may need to infer what they refer to. Use linking expressions more selectively and connect each example directly to the point it supports. A conclusion that completes the argument would also strengthen the overall progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “digital age,” “entertainment,” “culture,” “economy,” and “travelling time.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “paramount for economy and culture.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts of the response difficult to read. Examples include “economy down,” “technology enhancement,” “expenxe,” and “interest on culture reduce.” Some phrases are repeated, particularly “important” and “saves time and money.” Aim for more precise combinations such as “economic contribution” and “cultural understanding,” and check spelling and word forms carefully. This will make your ideas clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a contrast structure beginning “While this trends offers…” and a conditional-style explanation with “if people not goes to cinema.” These attempts show a willingness to vary sentence forms, but control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make the intended meaning harder to follow. For example, “individual can watch” lacks an article, “people goes” has subject–verb disagreement, and “if people not goes” has an incorrect negative verb construction. There are also problems with sentence boundaries, as in “technology enhancement One major benefit,” where punctuation is needed. Practise accurate articles, agreement, and negative forms first, then build longer sentences around one clear main clause.
