Student answer (Band 5.0)
Entertainment will remain ncomplete if we neglect the theatres or cinemas as mode of entertainment. Although the digital shift has snatched these modes and taken us away from them but still the theatres are worth more enjoyable than watching the movie at home on screen online. let's discuss the comparison of both :
1. theatres and cinemas are the places where people go to entertain nthemselves, interact with each other and make good relation and find people of there interests this help to create society more fundamental while watching online movies make you feel isolated and also affects you psychological thinkings.
2. Theatres and cinemas let us enjoy the entertainment by physical presence over there and we can even feel the thing what we are watching but watching online entertainment just give us the graphics to be followed and nothing else. we only enjoy the sounds and always wish to meet the charachters who are performing the act, while in cinemas or theatres the performers appear before us and we can feel them more benificially and can get more from the.
3. watching online does not tells us that what are the main intentions, of the entertainment beig watched, are. but when we physically attend the theatre or cinema we can also have an interaction with the director who has created the whole setup for us to enjoy and can get more knowledge of the entertainment and we can also come out of the zone that how the actors or performers really look like in the real worls because watching them online is almost fake picture of them which can be changed or edited anyways.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You express a clear preference for theatres and cinemas, especially in the opening and closing points, and you give several relevant reasons, such as social interaction and seeing performers in person. However, the task asks you to discuss both views, including the argument that online entertainment makes venues less important and their economic and cultural value. These opposing points are not meaningfully explained; instead, the response mainly lists advantages of attending in person. Some claims, such as online viewing being “almost fake,” also need clearer reasoning or a specific example. To strengthen the response, present a developed paragraph on the benefits of online access, address economic or cultural importance, and then explain how these considerations shape your own position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an opening statement followed by three numbered points, so the reader can identify separate reasons for your preference. However, the numbering makes the essay feel like a list rather than a developed discussion, and there is no clear progression through both sides of the question. The points also overlap: several repeat that live performances feel more real or engaging. Connections between ideas are sometimes unclear, as in the long sentence beginning “watching online entertainment just give us the graphics.” Use conventional paragraphs with a clear purpose for each, and link them with accurate transitions. A structure covering the online perspective, the continuing value of venues, and your conclusion would make the argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “digital shift,” “physical presence,” “director,” and “performers,” which helps communicate your subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “entertainment will remain ncomplete,” “make good relation,” and “psychological thinkings.” Spelling errors such as “charachters,” “benificially,” and “worls” also reduce accuracy. Some phrases, including “feel the thing what we are watching,” are too vague to express your meaning precisely. Build a bank of natural expressions for comparing live and online entertainment, and check spelling and collocations carefully. More precise vocabulary would make your reasons clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and use clauses to explain reasons, for example, “Although the digital shift has snatched these modes … but still the theatres…” and the sentence about attending a venue and interacting with its director. However, these complex attempts are often faulty, and sentence boundaries and punctuation are inconsistent. There are frequent problems with verb forms and agreement, as in “watching online does not tells us,” “this help,” and “watching online entertainment just give us.” Articles and sentence construction also need attention, while the opening “let's discuss” is not appropriately capitalised. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with one clear subordinate clause. Proofread each sentence for subject–verb agreement and punctuation.
