Student answer (Band 5.0)
From these opinions yes to some extent they are right in this digital age , theaters and cenemas are no longer important as people can watch all the entertainment online becuse due to less time and inflation rete all the people are busy with there jobs and buisnesses they don't have enough time go to the theater's or cinemas for example if i am doing a job in 9 to 10 hours shift so after coming back to my job i don't have enough motivation to go out for a movie or theater for entertainment due to shortage of time and less motivation i preferred to watch it online on my laptope , phone and TV
On the others aruge yes theatres and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally . In earlies the theaters are the only source of entertainment so basically it's our heritage so we have to maintain theaters .For cinemas yes they are still important economically and culturall Becuse on vecations and weekends familes also visites the cenimas for entertainment and spend alot of money for cenimas they also needs employs for there proper functioning yes it's they are important for economically and culturally.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address both views and give a personal position, beginning with agreement that online entertainment is convenient and then arguing that venues remain economically and culturally valuable. The examples about a long work shift and families visiting cinemas are relevant, but the discussion is brief and the reasons are not sufficiently explained or supported. The cultural point that theatres are “our heritage” is asserted rather than developed, and your own overall opinion could be stated more clearly. The response contains 178 words, which is 72 words below the 250-word minimum; 21 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. This limits how fully you can discuss both sides. Develop each view with a specific explanation or example and conclude with a direct summary of your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic two-part structure: the first paragraph discusses online viewing, while the second turns to the continuing value of theatres and cinemas. This helps the reader identify the two views. However, progression within each paragraph is limited, and several ideas are joined into long, difficult-to-follow sentences. Connectors such as “On the others” and repeated uses of “so” and “yes” do not always express the relationship between ideas accurately. The response also ends without a concluding paragraph, so the discussion does not reach a clear final point. Use separate sentences for each reason, organise the two views into clearly developed paragraphs, and add a conclusion that restates your opinion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “digital age,” “source of entertainment,” “economically,” and “culturally.” However, the range is limited and some wording is repetitive, particularly repeated references to “important” and “entertainment.” Several spelling errors, including “cenemas,” “becuse,” “buisnesses,” and “laptope,” make the writing less clear and reduce accuracy. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “inflation rete” and “they also needs employs.” Build a more precise range for discussing convenience, cultural value, and employment, and check spelling carefully. More accurate collocations would make your ideas easier to understand and help avoid repetition.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to explain causes and give examples, including a conditional-style example beginning “if i am doing a job,” but most sentences rely on simple patterns or become long, loosely connected strings of clauses. Errors in sentence structure and punctuation sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “after coming back to my job i don't have enough motivation” has an unclear time reference and needs clearer clause boundaries; “they also needs employs” also shows problems with subject–verb agreement and sentence construction. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, especially around sentence beginnings and full stops. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then add controlled complex structures using conjunctions such as “because” and “although.” Review agreement, articles, and punctuation when editing.
