Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views and state a clear preference for the importance of theatres and cinemas: “I am still in favour of the latter.” The points about convenience, ticket costs, the cinema experience, cultural representation and economic income are relevant to the question. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The example about a businessperson needing more than three hours to watch Harry Potter is unclear and does not fully explain why online viewing is preferable; similarly, the Doraemon example asserts that cinemas earn income without showing how this supports the wider economic or cultural case. Explain each main reason more fully and make the examples precise and directly relevant.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a recognisable structure: it introduces the two positions, discusses the case for online entertainment, then presents your preferred view. Linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Nevertheless” and “For example” help signal relationships between points. However, progression is uneven, and some ideas are difficult to follow because sentences are loosely connected or placed in an unclear order. The final paragraph begins with “enjoying movie in cinema hall” after the previous paragraph has already started concluding the argument, so the ending feels fragmented. Referencing is also unclear in places, such as “those who Watching movies in online are not understand this feeling.” Use one clear paragraph for each view and a separate, concise conclusion, with links that show how each example supports its point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “digital age,” “vital role,” “future generation,” “socialize” and “economy.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several word choices or collocations sound unnatural, sometimes making meaning harder to understand. Examples include “no significantly crucial,” “tickets price,” “earn massive income though tickets” and “a difference experience.” Spelling errors such as “genaration” and “doreamon” also reduce accuracy. Build a bank of natural topic phrases and check spelling and word forms; for example, describe cinema as a “distinctive experience” and refer to “ticket prices” or “box-office revenue.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a concession in “While I understand why some people support the former view” and a reason introduced by “because.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and verb forms occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to read. For example, “theatres and cinemas still plays” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “a business person want” and “those who Watching … are not understand” contain faulty verb forms. Punctuation and spacing around commas and full stops are also inconsistent. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns first, then extend them with subordinate clauses; proofread each sentence for a clear subject, verb and complete structure.
