Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You make an attempt to discuss both online and in-person entertainment, and you give a personal view in the final paragraph. However, the task is only partially addressed: the economic and cultural importance of theatres and cinemas is not clearly explained, and the discussion of online viewing is brief. Points such as watching with family, seeing a new release first, and avoiding travel or scheduling difficulties are relevant, but they are listed rather than developed with clear reasons or examples. Your position is also difficult to interpret: saying you are “neutral” and then preferring online viewing in some cases does not establish a clear overall opinion. Explain each side more fully and state a consistent position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is an attempt to organise the response into paragraphs and to signal ideas with phrases such as “First of all,” “Additionally,” and “In my opinion.” These markers show some awareness of how to guide the reader. However, ideas are not arranged in a consistently clear progression: the opening is difficult to follow, and the paragraph beginning “if we talk about the importance” combines online viewing, social experiences, and cultural value without clear links. The final paragraph is very brief and does not resolve the discussion. Some connections, such as “The con of watching offline,” are unclear because the surrounding points include both disadvantages and advantages. Use one paragraph for each view and connect each reason explicitly to the task.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “digital age,” “entertainment,” “culture,” “resolution,” and “noise pollution,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or unnatural choices make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “delegant role,” “the express for real life drama,” and “swing your mood” do not communicate the intended ideas clearly. There are also spelling errors such as “potrait,” “comapred,” and “appearence.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than using phrases that sound more elaborate but are unclear. Proofreading spelling and choosing precise terms for the benefits and drawbacks would make your ideas easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt some longer sentences and use basic linking structures, but sentence forms are often faulty, and errors frequently make the relationships between ideas hard to understand. For example, “Cinemas and theatres plays” has subject–verb disagreement, while “Theatre are designed” has an agreement error and an unclear sentence structure. The sentence beginning “if we talk about the importance” is incomplete, and “if not it delays in” is also unfinished. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, including sentence openings such as “but” and “if.” Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement, articles, and punctuation. Shorter, accurate sentences would help you express the intended points more reliably.
