Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is argued that some people believes that in the modern age, theatres and cinemas are no longer significant as people can view all the entertainment they want online, but some people argued that theatres and cinemas are still important both ecnomically and culturaly. From my point of view, all types of entertainment are available nowadays online on social media because people do not have extra time to go the theatre and cinemas.
First of all, people who says in modern age entertainment modes are no longer necessary, because people watch the entertainment shows onlie on youtube and facebook. Moreover, nowadays majority people do not have a spare time to enjoy the comedy dramas in the theatre and cinemas to watch the movies. For instance, the people who work in the offices and work as servant in the shopping malls. they do not contain extra time to go to the cinemas and theatres to enjoy the entertainment videos. However, they use the social media and find out the different kind of entertainment. Hence, the theatres and cinemas are no longer important as people who watched the entertainment online.
Secondly, the people who said theatres and cinemas are still necessary both the ecnomocally and culturally, because minority people believes that for thes mode of entertainment help to explore the culture of native language and surrounding area. While the cinemas and theatres helps the financially and economically to the country. it is possible when they explored the more comedy dramas. For example, In pakistan, all mode of entertainment like funny comedy, movies and stage dramas which help the country financially and promote the culture and native language.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You present a relevant opinion—that online entertainment is more convenient—and you include points about cultural and economic value, so both views are recognisable. However, the discussion is only partial: the first view receives more explanation, while the second is stated in broad terms and its economic claim is not clearly explained. The Pakistan example mentions comedy, films and stage dramas promoting culture and the country financially, but it does not show how this happens. Your position is also not fully consistent: the opening favours online entertainment, yet the conclusion is absent, leaving your final view unclear. Develop each side with a specific reason and example, then state your judgement clearly at the end.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an identifiable opening and two body paragraphs, and signposts such as “First of all,” “Moreover,” “However,” and “Secondly” help readers recognise shifts between points. However, the overall progression is limited: the first paragraph repeats the convenience argument, and the second moves between cultural and economic claims without clearly connecting them. Some links are also confusing, particularly “Hence, the theatres and cinemas are no longer important as people who watched the entertainment online,” which does not form a clear conclusion. The essay ends without a concluding paragraph to bring the discussion together. Organise each body paragraph around one main view, explain it in sequence, and use a final paragraph to summarise your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “entertainment,” “economically,” “culturally,” “native language,” and “promote the culture.” This gives you a basic range for discussing the topic. However, vocabulary is repetitive, especially “entertainment,” “people,” and “theatres and cinemas,” and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “explored the more comedy dramas” and “they do not contain extra time.” Spelling errors such as “ecnomically,” “culturaly,” and “onlie” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of precise expressions for convenience, employment, cultural preservation and economic contribution, and check spelling and natural word combinations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, using connectors such as “because,” “Moreover,” and “when.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, sentence construction, articles and punctuation sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “some people believes” and “people who says” have subject–verb agreement errors, while “theatres and cinemas helps” uses the wrong verb form. The sentence beginning “First of all, people who says…” is also incomplete in its construction, and “it is possible when they explored…” shifts awkwardly between present and past forms. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and tense, especially in longer sentences.
