Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You introduce both positions and state an opinion: “I believe that theaters and cinemas could be preserved in the future.” The response also gives relevant points about the shared cinema experience and the convenience of online platforms. However, the discussion is only partial. The economic and cultural importance mentioned in the prompt is not really explained, and the view that cinemas are no longer important is described mainly through convenience rather than developed as an argument. Some examples, such as multiplexes and possible effects on children, are not clearly connected to the central comparison. Develop each side with a specific reason and example, and make your own position more definite and consistently supported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic structure, with an introduction followed by a paragraph for each side, and signposts such as “moreover,” “in addition,” and “in contrast” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, progression within the paragraphs is often unclear: the points about cinema facilities, food, online convenience, age groups, and children’s screen use are placed together without explaining how they relate. Several linking expressions are repeated or used inaccurately, and the conclusion is absent, so the reader is left without a final summary of your view. Organise each body paragraph around one main argument, use clear references between sentences, and add a brief concluding paragraph.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “digital age,” “platforms,” “high quality,” and “quality time,” which helps communicate the topic. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning difficult to follow, such as “watch all the entertainment section,” “full of crowed,” and “different kint of entertainment section.” Spelling errors are also frequent, including “preception,” “benifits,” “futhermore,” and “thay,” and these reduce clarity. Aim to use precise topic vocabulary and check spelling carefully. Replacing repeated general phrases such as “entertainment section” with terms like “films,” “programmes,” or “online content” would make the discussion more natural and specific.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to form longer sentences and use clauses with “because,” “while,” and “if,” but these structures are often faulty, and many sentences have errors in basic grammar. For example, “there is ongoing debate about the theaters and cinemas are no longer important” combines structures incorrectly; “we can spent quality time” has an incorrect verb form; and “their are lots of facilities are avaliable” has problems with agreement and sentence construction. Articles, plurals, and punctuation are also inconsistent. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning hard to understand. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using one clear subordinate clause, and proofread for verb forms and sentence boundaries.
