Student answer (Band 5.0)
Theatres and cinemas were very popular before the inventions of smart phones, people used to go there watch movies, shows and documentries etc. However, as the smartphones came to the market the values and theatres and cinemas decreased though still some people watch movies etc in cinemas, but other do it online in their homes through various webites and applications like, netflix etc.
Though, those people who believed that cinemas and theatres are no longer important as people can watch all the entertainment they want online are right, and its beacuse of the reason that in the modern age of technology people dont had enough times for cinemas and theatures. for example, an individual who came to home from work or study at 4pm in the afternoon, either he will get to bed to relaxed or go out with firends to play games etc and at night either he has to do companys work or study like assignmets etc. So, he doesnt had much time and theatres required 4 to 6 hours for one movie.
On the other hand, those who believed that theatres and cinemas are important for both reasons i.e, econmocially and culturally are also right. The reason behnind that is when you get to cinema or theatre for watching movies, shows or documentires you interact with people, do conversations with them also enjoys company with differnt cultural peoples which helps you knowing each others cultures, values etc.
In my Opinion, Both sides are right as each side has its own reasons for that, and everyone had to kept its own values and reasons to prove they are right.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You discuss both views and give a personal opinion, so the response is relevant to the task. The first main point—that busy people may prefer online entertainment—is illustrated with a daily schedule, while the second links shared cinema visits with cultural interaction. However, the discussion is only partially developed: the time example is lengthy but does not explain the claim that cinemas require “4 to 6 hours,” and the economic importance mentioned in the prompt is not actually discussed. Your conclusion, “Both sides are right,” gives a position, but it does not explain how you weigh the arguments. Develop each view with clearer, more convincing support and state a more specific opinion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a concluding opinion. Transitions such as “On the other hand” help signal the change in viewpoint. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, particularly in the long example about a person’s schedule, where several activities are joined together without a clear hierarchy. Connectors such as “Though” and “However” are used awkwardly or repetitively, and the final paragraph repeats that both sides are right rather than drawing the discussion together. Use shorter, more clearly organised supporting points, and make each paragraph’s central idea explicit before adding an example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “entertainment,” “culturally,” “interact,” and “values,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear, for example “documentries,” “webites,” “econmocially,” and “beacuse.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “the values and theatres and cinemas decreased” and “enjoys company with differnt cultural peoples.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Build a more accurate set of expressions for discussing access, cultural exchange, and economic benefits, and check spelling carefully before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt longer sentences and use clauses to explain reasons, as in “those people who believed that cinemas and theatres are no longer important as people can watch…” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors affect clarity. Examples include “people used to go there watch,” “people dont had enough times,” and “he doesnt had much time,” which show problems with verb forms and sentence construction. There are also agreement and punctuation issues, such as “other do it online” and the comma splice in the opening sentence. Practise forming accurate past and present-tense clauses, and divide long sentences into shorter units with clear punctuation.
