Student answer (Band 5.0)

In modren age, it is argue that cinemas and theatres will soon lose their values because of availibility of intertainment online, while some people believes that they are still have their own economic and cultural value. In my opinion, cinemas and theatres have many cultural values so, they will never lose their importance.

Firstly, cinemas and theatres are going to lose their importance due to degital media. In this age, people have easily availibilty to entertainment due to this they have no need to buy cinemas coastly tickets and also save their time to go intertainment points. Althought, it made humanity lazy such as students are busy in their mobile phones and did not have to do any physical works.

Secondly, cinemas and theatres still have social and economic values and will remain important to cultural values. Such as, these bring people togather like in holidays people of all ages book their tickets and try to spend their free time togahter with each other and also provide a chance to share their sorrows and happines with each other. So, i believe that because of these reasones cinemas and theatres will never disapper and bring people close each other to share their problems, also the economic benefits are very curical for govrnment.

In conclusion, it is clear that social media provides easily availibity to entertainment online but in contrast, cinemas and theatres have an oppertunity togather extended friends togather. As a result, these will remain important to public.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You discuss both perspectives and state a clear preference: cinemas and theatres “will never lose their importance.” The second body paragraph gives a relevant social reason, explaining how people gather and share time together, and briefly mentions economic benefits. However, the first view is mainly about convenience and saving money or time; it does not explain the broader claim that online entertainment can replace theatres and cinemas in people’s lives. The economic point is also asserted rather than supported with an example or explanation. Your ideas therefore remain limited and under-developed, and the conclusion repeats the position without adding support. The response is also five words below the required minimum, so ensure you meet the task’s length requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting opposing views, and a conclusion. “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” help signal this organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several ideas are joined in long sentences with repeated “and also” or “so,” making the relationships between points harder to follow. For example, the first body paragraph moves from online convenience to students’ physical activity without clearly connecting that observation to the question of whether cinemas remain important. The conclusion’s contrast is also difficult to interpret. Use clearer topic sentences and divide explanations into shorter, logically linked sentences; make references such as “these” and “it” unambiguous.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “economic and cultural value,” “entertainment online,” and “social values,” so the reader can identify the subject of your argument. However, the range is limited, and repeated words such as “important,” “people,” and “together” make the response repetitive. Several spelling errors and inaccurate word choices—such as “availibility,” “coastly,” and “oppertunity”—are noticeable and sometimes slow understanding. Some combinations are also unnatural, including “share their sorrows and happines” and “an oppertunity togather extended friends togather.” Build a more precise set of expressions for discussing access, shared experiences, and economic impact, and check spelling and collocations carefully before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast introduced by “while” and a reason introduced by “because.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to process. For example, “some people believes that they are still have” combines incorrect subject–verb agreement with an unnecessary verb form; “people have easily availibilty” does not form a grammatical clause; and “these will remain important to public” is missing an article. Punctuation and spacing also need attention, particularly around commas and sentence boundaries. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and complete clause structures, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
