Student answer (Band 4.5)
It is often argue that some people say that in digital age, theatres and cinemas are no longer important as people can watch all the entertainment they want online. On the other hand some people argue that these two places are still important both economically and culturally.
The first and supportive reason why I support this view is that theatres and cinemas are very good for entertainment after a stressfull day. In my country people often go to cinemas for watching comedy movies, TV shows and films. especcially on the weekend, all cinemas and theatres are all full in my city beacuse i think its a good way to relax and happy.
Entertainment is very important for healthy and happy life due to when people watching comedy movies they often forget their work and the pressure form studies, they just do enjoyment in theaters.
On the other hand, some people argue that theatres and cinemas are no longer important beacuse they believe that go to cinema its just a waste of time or nothing due to when their childern go cinemas they forget their homework ann spend too much time there, which is not suitable for their fitness and for knowledge. However, I believe that argument is less convincing due to cinemas not good place for youg generation they involve into habits and check different types of drugs which is demage their life.
In conclusion, although cinemas and theatres are good for entertainment and this improves our experience. but on other side this is not perfect for children and yougest.
In my opinion, if we make proper timetable for these places we avoid stress or live a happy life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You introduce both views and give a personal opinion, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the discussion only minimally addresses the central contrast: the paragraph supporting cinemas focuses on relaxation, while the opposing view is presented mainly through concerns about children’s homework and behaviour. The task also asks about economic and cultural importance, but neither is explained, and the final opinion about making a “proper timetable” is unclear and not developed. Examples such as people visiting cinemas at weekends are relevant but need explanation and support. To strengthen the response, explain each side directly—for example, how online viewing offers convenience and how cinemas support jobs or shared cultural experiences—and state a consistent, clearly reasoned position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response has an introduction, separate discussion paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “On the other hand” signal a change of view. However, the ideas are not arranged into a clear progression: the first body paragraph repeats the point that cinemas help people relax, and the second shifts from objections about children to drugs without a clear connection. Some links are mechanical or confusing, including “The first and supportive reason why I support this view” and “although … but on other side.” The conclusion also introduces a timetable without showing how it follows from the discussion. Give each body paragraph one clear purpose, connect each example to its main point, and use referencing and transitions more precisely.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “digital age,” “entertainment,” “economically,” and “culturally,” and the reader can generally identify your intended meaning. However, the range is basic and repetitive, with frequent reliance on “good,” “important,” “people,” and “cinemas.” Several word choices or combinations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “do enjoyment,” “for healthy and happy life,” and “involve into habits.” Spelling errors, including “stressfull,” “beacuse,” and “childern,” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of precise expressions for the two sides of the debate, and check spelling and collocations. For instance, describe online viewing as convenient and cinemas as venues for shared cultural experiences rather than repeating general claims about entertainment.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt some longer sentences and use clauses with “when,” “although,” and “due to,” but control is weak and sentence structures are often faulty. Examples include “It is often argue,” “when people watching comedy movies,” and “if we make proper timetable … we avoid stress,” where verb forms, articles or clause construction are incorrect. Agreement and sentence boundaries also need attention: “all cinemas and theatres are all full” is repetitive, while “In conclusion … but on other side” creates an incomplete or poorly joined contrast. Most sentences contain grammatical problems, which sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking verb forms, articles, agreement and punctuation in each sentence.
