Student answer (Band 5.0)

Few people are saying that in the most advanced age, there are no more values for theatres and cinemas. People can watch all the entetaining things what they want to see online. But, some people argua that theatres and cinemas are still necessary ecnomically and culturally both.

In todays, life is so complicated of people they have no spare time to go to the area where all the actors do acting live and perform a drama or story in addition cinemas, they prefer to watch all these series and antertainment things on their phones and laptops online instead to go outside and waste their time and money.

On another hand, those people whose are saying that and arguing about the theatres and cinemas importancy beacause they know their values how they will be beneficial for our country in the way of economy, if the people go to the cinemas they will buy ticket for movie and other things and in that way necassary for economy growth and raise the old culture when people watched the movies together on wall of cloth with the help of projector. Thats all the reasons, why people give value to online and why few think theatres and cinemas are important.

In my opinion, todays modern area we should not go to the outside for watching movies and dramas instead we have all thing in which we can see funny moments and fighting in our home in comfort zone and save the money. I think it is waste of time and money to go the cinemas and theatres.

Consequently, both points have some values. But those who are arguing for not to go theatres and cinemas have valid reasons other than who are thinking that are still give respect to go acting place to see.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views and state a clear preference for watching entertainment at home, especially in the paragraph beginning “In my opinion.” You also give relevant points about convenience, saving money, ticket purchases and cultural traditions. However, the discussion is only partial: the case for cinemas and theatres is mostly reduced to economic benefits and a brief reference to people watching films together, while the online view is repeated rather than developed with specific support. The conclusion says both points have value but does not reconcile them or explain your position further. To strengthen the response, explain more fully how live venues contribute culturally and economically, and support each main point with a concrete example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an opening, a paragraph presenting the two views, a personal-opinion paragraph and a conclusion. Basic linking phrases such as “On another hand,” “In my opinion” and “Consequently” help signal shifts. However, progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow: the long second paragraph moves from lack of free time to online viewing, then to ticket sales and historical film culture without clear separation. Some links are inaccurate or repetitive, and the final sentence is hard to interpret. Organise one paragraph for each view, use topic sentences to guide the reader, and connect each supporting explanation directly to its main idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “economy growth,” “culture,” “projector,” “comfort zone” and “save the money.” These choices show an effort to discuss both practical and cultural aspects. However, the range is limited and several spelling errors or imprecise expressions make the meaning less clear, such as “entetaining,” “argua,” “importancy” and “necassary.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “the area where all the actors do acting live” and “give respect to go acting place.” Build a more accurate set of topic-specific expressions and check spelling and collocations; this will help you express ideas more precisely without relying on repeated general words such as “things” and “people.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You use some longer sentence forms and attempt to connect reasons with clauses, for example, “if the people go to the cinemas they will buy ticket for movie.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and verb forms sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning. Examples include “In todays, life is so complicated of people,” “those people whose are saying,” and “we should not go to the outside.” Punctuation also needs attention, particularly in the long second paragraph, where several ideas run together. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine related ideas with accurate subordinate clauses and check subject–verb agreement and articles.
