Student answer (Band 5.0)

People of this modern era are eduacted enough to pass an arguements about any issue related to media, theatre and cinemas.Although every side of the story has its own pros and cons. It is crystal clear , both the cinemas and theatres played a vital role in nourishing the humans knowledge about science, literature, fashion and landscape. Most of the people get awareness about the various aspects of life from movies and films.

By deducing, majority of juveniles claim that cinemas and theatres are still important economically as well as culturally. There are few lads and lasses who still beleive that these sorts of media are not essential economically and culturally.

Some adults beleive that having cinemas and theathres are helpful for the growth of their culture. It makes people attached to thier heritage, costumes and trends. It glorifies the festivals enlisted by their ancesstors. They assume it effects the economy of a nation. When you build more cinemas you get more audience from all over the word.It boosts your economy. The more public you get in you wish list the more you will earn.

Here is another type of people considering that both cinemas and theatres are not playing a crucial role in our society as we all have enough gadgets at home. They supose that they are wasting thier money and time by visiting these places. They feel more easy to adjust their full packed routines. Furthermore they have a strong firm that they get knowldge about their culture from the books and by their forebears.

In my point of view cinemas and theatres have a significant role in developing our culture and it also give enforcements for economy. Having less time for visiting such places is a geniune issue

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both perspectives and give a clear preference in the final paragraph: cinemas and theatres contribute to culture and the economy. Relevant points include preserving heritage and providing a place for audiences to gather. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The view that online entertainment makes venues less necessary is mentioned, but its advantages are not explained in much detail; similarly, the economic claim that more cinemas bring more audiences and income needs a concrete explanation or example. The opening also makes broad claims about films teaching people without directly framing the two sides. Develop each view with a specific reason and example, and make your position explicit earlier, so the response addresses the task more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable paragraph structure: an introduction, paragraphs presenting the two views, and a concluding opinion. This gives the reader some organisation. However, the progression between ideas is not consistently clear. The second paragraph briefly labels the opposing positions, then the next paragraphs repeat them rather than building a connected argument. Phrases such as “By deducing” and “Here is another type of people” do not clearly signal the relationship between points, and “Although” begins a fragment rather than a complete contrast. Use straightforward links such as “Supporters argue” and “By contrast,” and ensure each paragraph develops one main idea in a logical sequence. Clearer referencing would also help readers follow who holds each view.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “heritage,” “festivals,” “economy,” and “culture,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “people,” “important,” and “role,” while several inaccurate word choices or collocations make meaning less clear. For example, “get more audience from all over the word” and “the more public you get in you wish list” do not express the intended economic point naturally. There are also frequent spelling errors, including “eduacted,” “beleive,” and “knowldge.” Build a more precise vocabulary for discussing online access, ticket revenue, employment, and cultural preservation, and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

There are attempts to use complex structures, such as “Although every side of the story has its own pros and cons” and “When you build more cinemas you get more audience.” However, the first is a dependent clause presented as a sentence, and many other sentences contain errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, or sentence construction. Examples include “both the cinemas and theatres played a vital role,” “it also give enforcements,” and “they get knowldge about their culture.” Punctuation and spacing are also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and unnecessary spaces before commas. These errors recur and sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a complete main clause and correct subject–verb agreement.
