This essay will examine the both perspectives along with my opinion in the subsequent paragraphs.
To commence with my thoughts that are accord with the first viewpoint, the first and foremost point is that theatres and cinemas still play important role in country economy and cultural development. Although, online platforms such as youtube, Netflex, and google TV provide many entertainment options. People still prefer to visit cinemas to watch movies with their family members and friends because it give them opportunity to go outside and spend leisure time. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The response recognises both sides of the debate and gives relevant points, including the convenience and lower cost of online viewing and the social experience of visiting cinemas. However, the discussion is incomplete: the opening says the essay will give your opinion, but no clear personal position is ultimately stated, and the response ends mid-sentence at “while watching fi”. The economic and cultural importance of theatres is also asserted rather than explained; the cinema offers example does not show clearly how venues benefit the economy or preserve culture. The length check confirms the response is two words below the required minimum. To strengthen the answer, complete the discussion, state your view clearly, and develop each side with specific explanations or examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is an attempt to organise the response into an introduction and two body paragraphs, and signposts such as “On the other hand” help indicate a change of viewpoint. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the first body paragraph is introduced as supporting the view that theatres are no longer important, but then argues that they remain important. The opening also promises an opinion that is not clearly delivered. Some linking phrases, including “To commence with” and “Apart from this,” do not compensate for these inconsistencies, and the final sentence is cut off, leaving the argument unfinished. Make each paragraph’s purpose match its topic sentence, use clear references to the two views, and finish with a conclusion that summarises your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The response uses a reasonable range of topic-related vocabulary, including “digital era,” “online platforms,” “pivotal role,” “cost effective,” and “cultural development.” These choices show an effort to discuss the issue beyond very basic terms. However, several expressions are inaccurate or awkward, such as “all these entertainment services on online platforms,” “play important role,” and “provide place for shopping any thing.” There are also spelling and naming errors, including “Netflex” and “GooleTV,” and some repetition of “people,” “movies,” and “platforms.” Aim for more natural collocations and accurate spelling, and choose precise terms for economic and cultural effects. This would make the ideas easier to understand and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts some complex sentence forms, for example the opening sentence contrasts two views using “while,” and the paragraph includes a “because” clause to explain why people visit cinemas. However, grammatical errors occur frequently and sometimes make the intended meaning unclear. Examples include missing articles in “play pivotal role” and “play important role,” subject–verb disagreement in “it give them opportunity,” and “online entertainment facilities has reduced.” The sentence beginning “Although, online platforms…” is not a complete sentence, while “this allow people” also has agreement and reference problems. The final sentence is unfinished. Practise accurate articles, agreement, and complete clause structures, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
