Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both perspectives and give a personal view, so the response addresses the main parts of the prompt. The online-entertainment paragraph gives relevant reasons—lower costs, avoiding travel and saving time—while the other side links cinemas and theatres with cultural identity and public revenue. However, the position is not fully clear: “partly believe” in the introduction and “both are important” in the conclusion do not explain how you weigh the two views. Some support is also under-developed. The example of Gujarati garba illustrates cultural tradition, but its connection to theatres and cinemas is not made explicit; likewise, the claim that ticket taxes fund hospitals and construction needs clearer explanation. State your opinion directly and develop each key claim with a specific link or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Sequencing within the first body paragraph is also clear, with “Firstly” and “Secondly” introducing reasons. These features help the reader follow the broad argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. “On the another hand” signals contrast, but the transition from online convenience to cultural importance is not developed, and “Thus” repeats the preceding claim rather than drawing together the evidence. References such as “this” in “It represents a cultural acknowledgement” do not clearly identify what is being discussed. Use linking phrases selectively, make pronoun references explicit, and ensure each paragraph progresses from its main point to explanation and evidence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “online platform,” “cultural,” “contribution,” “essential,” and “development.” This gives you some means of discussing both convenience and social value. However, the range is limited and many spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “whold,” “reliese,” “aknowledgement,” and “eminitties.” Several combinations are also unnatural, including “take a place in cinema,” “save a money,” and “cultural activities and countries growth.” These problems sometimes obscure your intended meaning, which keeps the vocabulary control at this level. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and collocations; for example, use “replace cinemas” and “contribute to economic growth.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use some sentence variety, including a conditional example (“if family members are watching a film at home”) and a relative clause (“which can also help…”). However, the range is limited, and attempts at longer structures often contain errors that make the message harder to follow. Examples include “every films and shows makers are use,” “online platform are help,” and “theatres and cinema are essential part,” where verb forms and subject–verb agreement are not controlled. Articles and sentence construction are also problematic in “home is not required a any expenses” and “at a same time.” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then extend them with one clause at a time. Check agreement, articles, and verb forms before adding more complex ideas.
