Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is widely argued that due to digitalization, theters and cinemas have no significant role as people prefer to watch all the entertainment they want online, while others believe that both theaters and cinemas are still important economically and culturally. I beleve in both opinions as they have their own importance.
To begin with, due to digitalization, source of entertainment has been changed nowadays. There are several online platforms like netflix and prime where people can watch all the entertainment they want of different genres. The main reason behind is that it provides entertainment at cheaper cost and people can enjoy with their families in a budget. For instance, the annual subscriptions are much cheaper than the cost of tickets in the multiplexes. It is a burden on low-income group of people. Consequently, they prefer to have monthly or annual subscriptions of online patforms where they enjoy movies and eatables with their families.
On the other hand, theatres and cinemas are necessary for economic and cutural growth of a country. Although it is expensive than online platforms yet it generates revenue for many people. Also, the government earns through taxes. In theatres many cultural programs is being showed which is vital to keep the culture alive . Moreover, when people get together in these cultural programs their feelings of togetherness developed. For example, when a bollywood movie, GADAR, was released and all went to cinemas to watch it then a feeling of patriotism was developed in everyone. They really enjoyed it together and in cinemas, there were sounds of more laughter and whistles which showed the excitement of people.
To conclude, both cinemas and theaters have their own significance economically and culturally. I believe a sense of togetherness get stronger when people come together to watch in theaters and cinemas. However, it is important to keep family budget in mind and online media is a good source to watch all the entertainment at affordable price.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You discuss both perspectives and give a clear, if somewhat qualified, position: online services are affordable, while cinemas retain economic and cultural value. The subscription-versus-ticket comparison supports the first view, and the Bollywood example illustrates shared excitement and patriotism. These relevant examples help address the task. However, the economic case is asserted more than explained: you mention revenue and taxes but do not show how cinemas support employment or related businesses. The cultural-programme point is also broad, and the conclusion largely repeats earlier claims rather than sharpening your judgement about the relative importance of the two options. The response covers the task well overall, but fuller explanation and a more decisive, consistently developed opinion would strengthen it.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” make the progression easy to follow, and examples are placed alongside the points they support. Some connections are less smooth or precise, however. “Consequently” introduces a preference for subscriptions, but the preceding explanation already makes that relationship clear, so the link feels mechanical. The shift from economic benefits to cultural programmes in the second body paragraph could also be signposted more carefully. In the conclusion, the relationship between the writer’s support for both views and the final emphasis on affordability could be made clearer. More varied, precise linking and clearer internal paragraph progression would improve cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “annual subscriptions,” “multiplexes,” “revenue,” “taxes,” and “patriotism.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “economically and culturally.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “theters,” “beleve,” “patforms,” and “cutural,” and some expressions are awkward or imprecise: “source of entertainment has been changed” and “a burden on low-income group of people.” Repetition of “entertainment,” “people,” and “important” also limits flexibility. These issues do not prevent understanding, but more accurate spelling, natural collocations, and a wider range of precise terms would make the argument more fluent and effective.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex forms, including a contrast clause beginning “Although” and a conditional-style explanation of why people choose subscriptions. Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “theatres and cinemas are necessary” is followed by “many cultural programs is being showed,” where the subject and verb do not agree and the passive form is faulty. “Their feelings of togetherness developed” needs a correctly formed verb, while “a sense of togetherness get stronger” has a subject–verb agreement error. There are also issues with articles and sentence construction, as in “at cheaper cost” and “The main reason behind is that.” Greater control of agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence patterns would improve accuracy.
