Student answer (Band 4.5)
In this modern world life is totally changed. You do all of things to stay at home. Most of the people says that in this modern world theaters and cinemas are not important people want all things on online. In other case other people say that these are very are important for cultural reason.
I agreed with this statement that cinemas are no important in this time. Life is very busy anyone has no extra time to go anywhere for entertainment. They spent a free time in their homes and do all activities there. Internet has made our life very easy; you can watch everything from internet. It's also saved money and time. Internet is a tool which is very useful for all purposes.
In other case, other people want to go cinemas and theaters for entertainment purposes. It is only possible if you have a lot of free time. This is very old style. Technology has changed our life in every case. The cinemas and theaters provide a lot of fun, but it is not essential every time. Without go entertainment places you watch every new thing on the internet after released. When a movie released whenever its reached cinemas majority of the people watches this movie on the internet. Cinemas is the old version instead to go cinema's us internet for every purpose because it is very essential.
In my conclusion both things are important in this life because everyone has the own mind and think. However, in this modern era internet is most beneficial for us.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a position—“I agreed with this statement”—and give reasons for preferring online entertainment, including convenience and saving time and money. You also mention the opposing view that cinemas and theatres provide “a lot of fun,” so the response is relevant to the topic. However, the discussion of their continuing economic and cultural importance is barely addressed, and the opposing view is dismissed as “very old style” rather than explained. Your conclusion says both are important but then favours the internet, leaving your position somewhat inconsistent. Develop both sides with specific reasons or examples, and make your opinion consistent from introduction to conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the views, and a conclusion. This gives the reader some sense of the essay’s direction. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and ideas are repeated rather than developed. For example, “In other case” is used to introduce both the opposing view and a later point, while the final paragraph shifts from saying both options matter to favouring the internet without resolving the contrast. Some sentences are difficult to connect, particularly the sequence about a movie being released and people watching it online. Use clearer topic sentences, organise each paragraph around one main idea, and use linking phrases and references more accurately.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use basic vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “entertainment,” “technology,” “cinemas,” and “internet,” and the reader can generally identify your main point. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, such as “modern world,” “important,” and “for every purpose.” Some word choices or combinations are unclear or unnatural, including “all things on online,” “a free time,” and “old version.” These choices sometimes make the intended meaning harder to follow. Build a wider set of precise expressions for discussing convenience, cultural value, and economic effects, and check common word combinations. More accurate phrasing would help you explain the two viewpoints without relying on repeated general terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both short statements and longer sentences, including “Internet has made our life very easy; you can watch everything from internet.” However, the range is very limited, and frequent errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms sometimes distort meaning. Examples include “Most of the people says,” “I agreed,” “Without go entertainment places,” and “majority of the people watches.” Several sentences also lack clear grammatical connections, as in “when a movie released whenever its reached cinemas.” Practise forming accurate simple sentences first, then combine ideas using controlled clauses. Pay particular attention to subject–verb agreement, verb patterns after prepositions, and articles.
