Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear preference for cinemas, especially in the introduction and conclusion. The online-view paragraph gives relevant reasons—convenience for busy people and lower cost—and the opposing paragraph mentions employment, tax revenue and social occasions. These points keep the response focused on the question. However, some ideas are only briefly stated or not fully explained: for example, the economic benefits are asserted without showing how cinemas support jobs or local businesses, while the birthday example explains social use more than cultural importance. Develop each side with a specific explanation or example, and make the cultural contribution of theatres and cinemas clearer.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two paragraphs presenting opposing views, and a conclusion. The paragraph openings “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help readers follow the discussion, and examples are generally placed with the relevant point. However, links within sentences are sometimes awkward or mechanical, as in “Sometimes individuals are busy… so they have no time… so, they prefer,” and the final paragraph repeats the preference for cinema without adding much synthesis. Some sentences also run several ideas together, making relationships less clear. Use a wider range of accurate linking and referencing, and organise each body paragraph around one main claim followed by explanation and evidence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “digital age,” “leisure time,” “film industry,” “economically,” and “culturally.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions such as “spend quality time” and “close ones.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear or natural, including “scedual,” “lauch,” “delight,” and “watch to see seasons.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “these things” and “the main pone who is get benefit.” Build a more accurate set of collocations for entertainment and economic impact, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a reason clause in “because individuals can watch…” and a conditional-style example beginning “when any new movie…”. The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence boundaries occur across the response. Examples include “It is widely believe,” “cinemas is still important,” and “Cinemas and theaters playing vital role”; these need forms such as “believed,” “are,” and “play a vital role.” Some sentences also join clauses with commas or lack clear punctuation, particularly in the opening and the cinema-benefits paragraph. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and complete sentence patterns before adding more complex clauses.
