Student answer (Band 5.5)

The impact of digitalization on theatres and cinemas has become a growing concern for directors and producers. While some aruge people can easily watch any kind of entertainment program online, others believe that screening movies still guarantee good economic activity and important to portray culture. Although because of digital mediums or piracy issues people became very selective to pay for watching show, I believe cinmas and theatres still thrive to gain profits.

Majority of programs do not offer impactful movies and live shows with lack of uniqueness. One of the key reason is that most of the individuals do not like to watch programs which sotry and quality is ordinal and such kinds of shows are easily consumed through digital platforms. For instance, in Pakistan majority of the movies released or theatres programs are similar with typical dramas in terms of subject of movie, picture quality and action part. Apart from that, feedbacks from audience on social platfoms create biasness in society to watch the program.

Conversely, if the program promises high quality picture not only its resolution but also its sounds, actions and crisma than community make it superhit program. Because of word of mouth, more and more people go to cinemas or theatres to watch that movie. For exampl, a pakistani movie "the legends of mola jutt" showed record sales. It successfully portrayed our traditional village culture along with interesting story which was very relatable. They used good music to enhance the meaning of different scenes. Also the actors are well trained in their action scenes.

In conclusion, a good moives guarantee good econimic activity in cinemas and threature and perserve culture.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You present a relevant opinion that cinemas and theatres can remain profitable and preserve culture, and the example of *The Legend of Maula Jatt* helps illustrate this view. However, the task asks you to discuss both sides, and the argument for online entertainment is only briefly suggested through comments about ordinary productions and digital platforms. The economic and cultural importance of venues is also asserted more than explained; for example, the conclusion says good movies “guarantee” economic activity without showing how venues benefit more broadly. Your position is present, but it would be clearer if stated directly and maintained consistently. Develop the online-view argument fairly, then explain and support your own judgement with specific reasons and examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting points, and a conclusion. Connectors such as “Conversely,” “For instance,” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, the overall progression is not always clear because the first body paragraph focuses on weak productions and audience feedback rather than directly explaining why online viewing makes venues less important. Some links between claims are abrupt, as in “Because of word of mouth” after the sentence about picture and sound quality. The conclusion repeats the main claim but does not bring the two views together. Make each paragraph’s central point explicit and use clearer links to show how each example supports it.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “digital platforms,” “word of mouth,” “portrayed,” and “traditional village culture,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts difficult to interpret. For example, “programs which sotry and quality is ordinal” appears to mean productions with ordinary stories and quality, while “feedbacks … create biasness” is unclear and unnatural. There are also spelling errors such as “aruge,” “cinmas,” and “platfoms.” These issues are noticeable and sometimes obscure your intended meaning. Build a more precise vocabulary for comparing online viewing with live or cinema experiences, and check spelling and common word partnerships before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some complex structures, including “While some argue …, others believe …” and “if the program promises high quality …, then …,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in sentence structure and agreement occur frequently: “others believe that screening movies still guarantee … and important” lacks a parallel grammatical construction, and “One of the key reason is” has incorrect number agreement. The opening of the second paragraph, “Majority of programs do not offer … with lack of uniqueness,” is also missing an article and is awkwardly formed. Several sentences are understandable, but these recurring problems can make the reader work to follow your meaning. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build complex sentences with correct agreement and parallel forms.
