Student answer (Band 4.5)

The modren age of digital tools are the part of our lives. Theatres and Cinemas was the starter of this age, in meanwhile there is magore impacte on our culture and economic state. The importants of old entertainment ways like theatres still present in the old town where mobile and other technological no easy accesable. Mostly comman people would to gather in the cinemas because it is the part of culture and easy accessable that for they consider it part of their daily routines.

Although there is a huge change that impact the sciety, the digital changed the ecosystem. The access of internet bring every thing in the door-step we do not need to step out because every is available on one click.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You identify the general issue and give a broad opinion that cinemas and theatres are gradually losing importance, while acknowledging their past role in connecting people. However, the response addresses the task only minimally: the view that online entertainment makes venues less necessary is mentioned, but the opposing case about their continuing economic and cultural importance is not properly discussed. Claims such as people gathering at cinemas as part of culture are not explained or supported with examples, and the economic aspect is only named, not developed. The response also falls 90 words short of the required minimum, leaving too little space to develop both views and your position. Explain each side with reasons and relevant examples before stating a clear, supported conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: the opening introduces the topic, the next paragraph turns to digital access, and the final paragraph gives an overall opinion. This gives the reader some sense of direction. However, ideas are not arranged coherently enough to form a clear discussion, and several connections are difficult to follow. For example, “Theatres and Cinemas was the starter of this age” does not clearly connect to the claim about cultural and economic impact, while “in meanwhile” and “that for” do not establish the intended relationships. The short paragraphs also do not develop distinct arguments for the two views. Use a clear paragraph for each position, link each reason to an example, and use accurate transitions to show contrast and conclusion.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt some topic-related vocabulary, including “digital tools,” “ecosystem,” “daily routines,” and “vital role,” which shows an effort to discuss technology and culture rather than relying only on very basic words. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the message harder to understand, such as “modren,” “magore impacte,” “sciety,” and “accessable.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise: “the starter of this age” and “the access of internet bring every thing in the door-step” do not express the ideas clearly. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “streaming services,” “live performances,” and “cultural heritage” would help you explain the topic with greater clarity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You make an effort to combine ideas in longer sentences, for example with “Although” and “because,” and the final sentence attempts to express a contrast between the past and present. However, sentence structures are limited and errors occur frequently, sometimes making relationships between ideas unclear. In “The modren age of digital tools are the part of our lives,” the subject and verb do not agree, and “Theatres and Cinemas was” has the same problem. The sentence beginning “The access of internet bring” also has an incorrect verb form, while “we do not need to step out because every is available” is incomplete or unclear in its second clause. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and complete clause structures. Shorter, correctly formed sentences would improve clarity before you attempt more complex ones.
