Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the discussion: online viewing is presented as flexible and affordable, while cinemas and theatres are linked to tax revenue, socialising and cultural performances. Your partial agreement is stated, but the position is not fully clear or consistently developed; the conclusion mainly repeats the points rather than explaining which view you find more convincing and why. Some support is relevant, such as the example of people who cannot afford cinema tickets, but other points are unclear or weakly connected—for instance, the example about friends resolving a disagreement at the cinema. Develop fewer ideas more fully, explain the economic and cultural benefits precisely, and state your opinion clearly throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph about online entertainment, a paragraph supporting cinemas and theatres, and a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic route through the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow, and linking is sometimes mechanical or inaccurate: “although” is used awkwardly at the start of the first body paragraph, while “on the other hand” introduces a contrast without clearly connecting to the previous point. Several ideas run together, and references such as “that individual” and “which” are not always clear. Use complete, focused paragraphs, connect each example explicitly to its main point, and use fewer, more accurate transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “technological advancement,” “sustaining the economy,” “unwind,” and “representing their culture.” These choices show an effort to discuss both economic and cultural aspects. However, the range is limited and many word choices, collocations, and spellings are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to understand. Examples include “culturals,” “curcial,” “free cost,” and “same vibe,” while “individuals in their adulthood consuming their entertainment by their homes” is not a natural way to express the idea. Build a bank of accurate phrases for online access, ticket affordability, cultural identity, and employment or revenue, and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt some longer sentences and subordinate clauses, for example, “although individual from their early age enjoy little bit part of technology…” and the sentence beginning “for example, lower middle class individual…”. However, these structures are often faulty, and many sentences lack reliable control of basic grammar. There are frequent problems with sentence boundaries, verb forms, articles, agreement, and punctuation: “technology provides… but numerous some advantages” is structurally incomplete, and “government impose taxes” lacks subject–verb agreement. Several ideas are joined without full stops, making relationships between clauses unclear. Practise writing accurate simple sentences first, then add one controlled subordinate clause at a time; check capitalisation and punctuation when editing.
