Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this modern era, entertainment sources has been maintaining their usage and customers since they invented. People watch movies and dramas on it, just for entertainment and to spend their spare time with loved ones. Might, it is argued by some that nowadays, theatres and cinemas are non essential because people can watch all things online, that they watch in cinema or theatres. But others believe that, they are important for ecomically and culturally. This essay will discuss both views until reaching a solid conclusion.
First of all, those peole who have lost interest in theatres and cinemas, think that they should closed, because in present they don't have value. From their point of view, they believe that social media has replace them. They can watch anything on it without buying any tickets or any hurdle, freely. Taking an example of last year, people of my country has been killing their time just using social media for entertainment and only few use it for work related tasks. So at that time I raised the question to my colleges that, why peole are forgetting cinemas?, than they told me that, we can watch anything in which we have interest without any hesitation, Furthermore, it was happening because people have unique interest with no match with others, in cinemas they were had to watch specific design picture which some take it interesting and some dislike it.
Secondly, some argued that cinemas are necessary for economic and cultural puropose, it helps to maintain them. Because they are gaining profit from its sale, and other idea is that, they can watch movies and dramas seriously, so that's why, they think it. For instance, in 2017, Lahore Tamaseel theatre earned about seventy five million in one year, which was the highest earning of that year from cinemas or theatres. This is the reason why people want to maintain them.
In my opinion, cinemas and theatres should be maintain because of helping nation by entertainment, people that show dislikeness about one program they would wait for next which will according to their mind. Social media cannot replace cinemas and theatres.
Finally, I would say that, it is totally depend on person's mood and likeness, what he/she likes or dislike. If they want to watch movies alone, it is better to watch it online. But if they are large in numbers, they will more enjoy in cinemas and theatres.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both perspectives and give a clear final preference for keeping cinemas and theatres, so the response addresses the main parts of the prompt. The example about Lahore’s theatre earnings also attempts to support the economic argument. However, the two views are not developed evenly: the online-entertainment paragraph focuses mainly on convenience and personal choice, while the economic and cultural case is asserted rather than explained. The cultural importance of shared experiences or preserving local arts is not really explored, and your own opinion appears most clearly near the end rather than being established and supported throughout. To strengthen the response, explain why online viewing may be preferable for some people, then develop specific economic and cultural benefits before linking them to your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, an opinion, and a conclusion. Basic signposting such as “First of all,” “Secondly,” and “Finally” helps readers follow the intended stages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to track: the anecdote about asking colleagues shifts attention away from the main argument, and the sentence beginning “Furthermore” does not connect clearly to the preceding point. Some links are mechanical or unclear, including “This is the reason why people want to maintain them,” where the reference to “them” is not precise. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main claim, group supporting explanation and examples together, and make references explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “entertainment,” “social media,” “economic,” “culturally,” and “profit,” and the reader can generally identify your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts of the essay awkward or unclear. Examples include “entertainment sources,” “maintaining their usage and customers,” “any hurdle,” and “show dislikeness.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “peole,” “ecomically,” and “puropose.” Aim for more precise expressions such as “streaming platforms,” “attracting audiences,” and “shared cultural experience.” Check spelling carefully and learn common word partnerships, rather than relying on broad or translated phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mixture of simple and longer sentences, including clauses with “because,” “which,” and “that,” but complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences hard to follow. For example, “entertainment sources has been maintaining” has subject–verb disagreement, while “they should closed” is missing the appropriate verb form. In “people of my country has been killing their time,” the subject and verb do not agree, and the tense is awkward for a general observation. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention, as in the long sentence beginning “So at that time I raised the question.” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and shorter sentence construction before adding subordinate clauses.
