Student answer (Band 6.0)
Many individuals argue that theater and cinemas are not usefull beacuse of avilability of the various digital platforms while others argue that theatres and cinemas are very significant because it has both cultural and economic value. This assay will discuss both the views before giving my own opinion.
On the one hand, some individuals have a hectic life and they do not have a enough time for the entertainment. To watch movies in cinema or theatres, people need aeverage 3-4 hours including travelling. For instance, people who have busy lifestyle will not prefer to go outside to watch movies because of avilability of the various ott platforms. Digital plateforms are more convenient because individuals can watch anything anywhere and they can pause and resume it when they are free. Additionaly, price of the tickets have rose significantly so it is more convient for users to watch movies and series in a phone compare to large screen.
On the other hand, there are many individuals who prefers to watch entertainment in the cinemas and theatres because of their sound system and large screen experience. Theaters and cinemas play a vital role in a modern society. It also contribute in the economy also. For instance, some movies earn great ammount of popularity any money from the box offices which will contribute in the economy of the respective country. Furthermore, some enternaiments have cultural values also. By watching it, individuals can get knowledge of their culture and rituals.
In conclusion, although individuals prefer to watch movies on digital platforms, I believe that cinemas should remain as it is because they contribute in the economy and also preservs the cultural values.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and state a clear preference in the conclusion: cinemas should remain because of their economic and cultural contributions. The discussion of online entertainment is relevant, with convenience, busy schedules and ticket prices as reasons people may choose streaming. You also give relevant points about the cinema experience and box-office income. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, the claim that films help people learn about culture and rituals would be stronger with a specific example, and the economic contribution is not explored beyond box-office popularity. Your position is clear, but its reasoning could be developed more consistently across both sides.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, and examples are placed with the relevant points. This coherent arrangement is a strength. Some linking is mechanical, however, and connections within paragraphs are occasionally unclear. For instance, “It also contribute in the economy also” repeats the linking word and does not smoothly connect the cinema experience to the economic point. The conclusion restates the main position but adds little synthesis. To strengthen cohesion, use a wider range of natural transitions and make the relationship between each claim and its explanation explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “digital platforms,” “hectic life,” “sound system,” “box offices,” and “cultural values.” This gives you enough range to discuss convenience and the social role of cinemas. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word choices are noticeable, including “usefull,” “avilability,” “plateforms,” and “enternaiments.” Some collocations are also unnatural, such as “aeverage 3-4 hours” and “earn great ammount of popularity any money.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning less clear and limit the precision of your vocabulary. Check spelling carefully and learn common word partnerships, such as “spend three to four hours” and “generate box-office revenue,” before using less familiar expressions.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a subordinate clause in “because individuals can watch anything anywhere” and a contrast structure in the conclusion. Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. Examples include “they do not have a enough time,” “people who have busy lifestyle,” and “some individuals who prefers,” where articles or subject–verb agreement need attention. In “Theaters and cinemas play a vital role… It also contribute,” the pronoun reference and verb agreement are not controlled. There are also errors in verb forms, as in “tickets have rose.” Practise checking articles, singular and plural agreement, and verb forms, then proofread each sentence for punctuation and sentence boundaries.
