Student answer (Band 5.0)

People believe that in the future theatres anad cinema halls are not considered as an option to watch movies, instead of this people will enjoy watching movies online through different websites and apps.In my opinion, I believe that in the digital age, people will completely avoid the usage of theatres and cinema halls.Mainly due to the avoid disturbance and AD's that they display in the middle of the movies and also to maintain social distance from others. To avoid this types of environment they choose online websites or apps to watch it without any interruptions.

Some people arguing about that cinema halls cannot replaced by other websites and it is equally important for economical factors and cultural terms. They must be predicting that if people will no longer use cinemas and theatres to watch movies, it is not beneficial for the directors and producers those who spend tons of money to make realistic movies to grab the attention of audience and also to generate multiple sources of income. If people are not showing interest to go and watch, instead of this they are watching it through online websites. It is complicated for them in both terms economically and culturally.

In the digital age the cinema halls and theatres will diappear completely becuase people wnat to see the movies from their comfort zones.Instead of paying for the theatre tickets and aslo to avoid crowd.

In conclusion,in the future different applications will be used to watch movies.Theatres and cinema halls will disappear as people areavoiding due to so many reasons.Even though it is

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear view that online viewing will replace cinemas, and you mention relevant reasons such as avoiding advertisements, crowds and ticket costs. You also refer to the opposing view that cinemas support directors and producers economically and have cultural importance. However, the discussion is only partial: the cultural argument is named but not explained, and the economic point is difficult to follow because you do not show how cinema attendance benefits the industry or provide a specific example. Your position is repeated, but the final paragraph mainly restates it rather than developing your reasoning. To strengthen the response, explain both sides in comparable detail and clarify your own view with a concrete example or consequence.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a basic paragraph structure: an opening position, a paragraph about the opposing view, and a concluding section. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, progression is limited, and several ideas are repeated, especially the claim that cinemas will disappear and people prefer watching at home. Connections between points are sometimes unclear; for example, the move from producers’ income to the claim that the situation is complicated “in both terms economically and culturally” is not fully explained. Linking phrases such as “instead of this” and “also” are used mechanically, while the conclusion ends with an unfinished thought. Organise each paragraph around one clear point, connect reasons explicitly, and ensure the final sentence completes the argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “digital age,” “cinema halls,” “directors and producers,” and “sources of income,” so the main subject is generally clear. However, the range is limited and some word choices or collocations make ideas awkward or less precise. Examples include “avoid disturbance,” “AD’s,” “grab the attention of audience,” and “from their comfort zones.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “anad,” “diappear,” and “becuase,” which reduce the accuracy of the writing. Build a more precise set of expressions for discussing cultural value and the film industry, and check spelling carefully. Using natural collocations will make your points easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a sentence beginning “Some people arguing about…” and a conditional structure with “If people are not showing interest…”. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make the relationships between ideas difficult to follow. For example, “Some people arguing” lacks a finite verb, while “cinema halls cannot replaced” is missing the passive auxiliary. Other problems include “they choose” after a singular “this types,” and sentence fragments such as “Mainly due to…” and “Instead of paying…”. Punctuation and spacing are also inconsistent, particularly around full stops and commas. Practise complete sentence patterns, passive forms and subject–verb agreement, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
