Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the modern world, where people are more interesed in watching movies and series online, there are numerous people who still want a specific place to watch movies. I strongly take a stand on behalf of establishing such cinemas as citizen see it eye to eye as it provides equal opportunity to each person.

First of all, in every society there is two distinct groups on the basis of revenue where people with higher income enjoys all the amenities online as they have all required resources. While, family with lower income have limited source of avilability. To make the entertainment avilable for everybody there is always a need of common base which is theatre in the field of entertainment. Secondly, cinemas provide all opportunity to such people by keeping schemes. Furthermore, if cinemas earn significant amount of profit there will be need of more employees and due to this rate of employment also goes up.This will boost the income of the country and effectiveness of jobbers will also increase.

On the other hand, adults are provided with all the facilities by their parents at home only and so they are disinterested to go outside and explore. There are numerous citizen who are lazy and does not want to move outside and leave their comfort zone which make an online base very crucial for them. In addition to that, middleclass families many times get trapped in various schemes put in theatres regarding tickects and food items and after knowning the reality they avoid visiting cinemas for entertainment.

As per my view, theatres should be available in each and every possible area as is porvides a common base for every people to have some entertainment. Pupil get tired of their daily routine and lifestyle which make their mind more inactive towards their work and so source enjoyment beomes useful. Moreover, various subscription fees charged by online apps are too expnsive for average family to afford for short period of time.

In conclusion, it is evident that there should be availability of theatres and cinemas to give equal rights and opportunities to an individual which can make their life more entertaining and refreshing from their boring routine.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear preference for cinemas, stating that they offer a “common base” and can provide affordable entertainment and employment. You also include a paragraph on online viewing, mentioning convenience and people’s reluctance to leave home, so both sides are present. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the claim that cinemas provide “equal opportunity” is not clearly explained, and the economic and cultural importance of theatres is addressed mainly through employment rather than cultural examples. The point about cinema promotions trapping families is also difficult to connect to the opposing view. To strengthen the response, explain each side with specific, relevant examples and make your position more precise throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for supporting and opposing views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Connectors such as “First of all,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal these stages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several ideas are placed together without showing their relationship. For example, the discussion moves from cinema schemes to employment and then national income, while the link between these points is not fully established. Some transitions, including “As per my view,” sound mechanical, and references such as “such people” are not always precise. Use clearer topic sentences and explain how each supporting point relates to the paragraph’s main idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “amenities,” “employment,” “subscription fees,” and “comfort zone,” and the reader can generally understand your main points. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural, which makes some ideas difficult to follow. Phrases such as “citizen see it eye to eye,” “limited source of availability,” and “effectiveness of jobbers” do not express the intended meaning clearly. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “interesed,” “avilability,” and “tickects.” Build accuracy by learning common word partnerships for this topic and checking spelling carefully. Prefer precise, familiar expressions over ambitious phrases that do not fit the context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “where,” “which,” and “as,” and you use some sentence variety. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the response harder to read. For example, “in every society there is two distinct groups” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “people with higher income enjoys” also mismatches subject and verb. In “adults are provided with all the facilities by their parents at home only and so they are disinterested,” the relationship between the ideas is awkwardly constructed. Review agreement, articles, plural forms, and sentence boundaries, then check each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
