Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years the topic that in the digital age there are no value of theatres and cinemas, they watch all the movies and shows online. It is widely believed that this issue has become increasingly significant in modern society. Some people believe that theatres and cinemas has no more importance. While other argue that it has still worth both economically and culturally.
On the one hand, folks belive that there are lot of developments in technology. and everyone have its own smartphone and easy access to internet so they like to see a movies on its PC and laptop at home. They entertain himself in house without going to cinema.
On the other hand, some civilians are not introvert they love outing and watch movie outdoor. They like to meet people and enjoy their life in good environment. There are also lot of developments in the cinemas and theatres with the help of technology. Officals introduced most comfortable chairs big screen and other lot of things such as private rooms and etc. This make cinemas strong economically and numbers of people make it culturally important nd strong. Still there are lot of citizens who visit the cinema and theatres on weekends for freshness.
In conclusion, both views has its own importance. In my perspective cinemas and theatres are still important in present because it is one of the best source of family trip on holidays in big cities where individulas have busy timetable. They are also most important for country ecomony and the revenue. They are also best in promoting local dramas and movies.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear preference for the continuing importance of cinemas and theatres. The discussion of online viewing mentions convenient access through smartphones and computers, while the opposing view includes social outings, improved facilities, economic value, and support for local productions. These are relevant points, but some are asserted rather than explained: for example, the link between comfortable chairs or private rooms and economic strength is not made clear, and the cultural contribution of local films is only briefly mentioned. Develop each side with a specific explanation or example, and make your own position explicit earlier as well as in the conclusion. This would make the response more fully developed across all parts of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes abrupt. The second body paragraph moves from socialising to cinema facilities and then to economic and cultural importance without clearly showing how these points connect. Some references are also unclear, such as “This make cinemas strong,” where “This” does not identify one precise cause. Group related ideas and use linking phrases to explain relationships, rather than relying mainly on broad signposts. This would make the organisation more consistently logical and cohesion less mechanical.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “digital age,” “economically,” “culturally,” “revenue,” and “local dramas and movies,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or informal, such as “folks,” “watch movie outdoor,” “for freshness,” and “one of the best source.” Spelling errors such as “belive,” “Officals,” and “ecomony” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise expressions that suit an academic discussion, and check spelling carefully. For instance, explain that people value cinemas as shared social spaces rather than describing them simply as places for “outing.” More accurate collocations would help you express your relevant ideas with less ambiguity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and some longer structures, and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, grammatical control is inconsistent, particularly with subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals, and sentence construction. Examples include “theatres and cinemas has,” “everyone have,” and “both views has its own importance.” The opening sentence is also incomplete or awkwardly joined: “In recent years the topic that…” does not form a clear grammatical statement. There are some attempts to connect clauses, but the range remains limited and errors recur across the response. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement and article use. Greater accuracy in these patterns would make your argument easier to read.
