Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some individuals argue that in the technology era, theatres and cinemas are no longer significant due to people can watch all the entertainment they want online. Whereas, others assert that theatres and cinemas are still vital for both economically and culturally. Although theatres and cinemas are still contribute in the economic growth, I believe to visit such places is a time consuming.
On the one hand, theatres and dramas play a very important role in youngsters life because this type of shows allow adolescents to gain knowledge about cultural and traditions. In addition, this shows also contribute for economic growth due to the government use this tax to improving the education or gealth programs. For example, in India, predominantly people watched live shows. The live shows tickets sold in million rupees and the owner of the show pay huge tax which the government used to built the facilities for citizen.
On the other hand, in digital era, mostly human beings are busy in their lives so they do not have much time to visit in live shows they prefer to watched oline and spent quality time with their parents or families at home. For instance, nowadays people buy netflix and youtube subscription and watched in their leasure time.
In conclusion, threatres and cinemas help for econmoic and youngsters can obtain inforamtion about their ancestors and traditions, However, In my perspective, mostly individuals have not much time to visit at live shows so with the help of technology they watched at home.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views and give a personal preference: the first body paragraph presents cultural and economic benefits, while the second explains why people choose online entertainment. However, the discussion is only partial and the ideas are under-developed. The economic example about ticket sales and tax is relevant, but the link between this tax and improved public facilities needs clearer explanation; the cultural value is also asserted rather than illustrated. Your view that visiting venues is time-consuming is stated, but not weighed against the benefits. The conclusion repeats the main points without resolving this comparison. The response is 242 words, below the 250-word minimum; the nine words copied from the prompt are not counted. Develop each view with clearer reasoning and a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help readers identify the contrast, and the examples are placed with the relevant points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and some links feel mechanical or inaccurate. For example, “Whereas” begins a fragment after the opening sentence, while “In addition” introduces a point whose connection to cultural learning is not fully explained. The conclusion’s “However” also makes the relationship between the benefits and your opinion difficult to follow. Use complete transitions and make each paragraph develop one main idea in a clear sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “cultural,” “economic growth,” “live shows,” and “subscription,” so the reader can understand the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make the writing less clear or natural. Examples include “youngsters life,” “contribute for economic growth,” “watched oline,” and “leasure time”; the misspellings “gealth,” “threatres,” and “inforamtion” also reduce accuracy. Some expressions, such as “mostly human beings,” are unnecessarily broad. Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing cultural value, employment, revenue, and convenience, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a concession beginning “Although” and clauses introduced by “because” and “so.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning. For example, “due to people can watch” needs a noun phrase or a clause with “because”; “theatres and cinemas are still contribute” has an incorrect verb pattern; and “people … prefer to watched” uses the wrong form after “prefer to.” The opening “Whereas” sentence is also incomplete. Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them, and check subject–verb agreement and verb forms.
