Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often argued that in the digital age, theatrea and cinemas are left behind and people watch content online. i like to see movies in theatres.
In this day and age people value conveniance over hard work. The digital era has made people watch moies and any form of entertainment online which is eassy for them the access any time they like and safe them a alot of time on commuting. Moreover they can save a lot of money on tickets by watching movies on there home screen. For instance, watching movies on netflix which has a slogan designed just so it represents this thought "Netflix and Chill" that is what yough people say.
However, in my opinion experiancing the cinemas feel is more valuable and the social connection people can make through going out for movies. For explaning in resent time many people went to see Odessy flim made by Christofer Noland, just for the theatres experiance.
In conclution, i would say that there is always going to be a need for theatres for the people how has the taste for it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You give a relevant opinion—“I like to see movies in theatres”—and later explain that the cinema experience and social connection have value. You also present the online-viewing argument, mentioning convenience, time and ticket costs, so both sides are recognisable. However, the discussion is only partial: the cultural and economic importance of theatres and cinemas is not really explored, and the example about people seeing a film mainly supports the cinema experience rather than developing the wider argument. Your position is brief and not consistently explained. The response is also 66 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop reasons and examples. Extend each side with specific explanation and support, then state your view clearly in the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph about online entertainment, a paragraph supporting cinemas, and a conclusion. The contrastive “Moreover” and “However” help signal the movement between ideas, and the reader can generally follow your main point. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and some links feel mechanical or unclear. For example, “For instance” introduces the Netflix slogan, but the connection between the slogan and the claim about saving money is not fully explained. The cinema example is also introduced with the awkward phrase “For explaning in resent time.” Develop a clearer sequence of claim, explanation and example in each body paragraph, and use linking phrases only when their relationship between ideas is precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “digital age,” “entertainment,” “commuting,” “social connection” and “cinemas.” These choices make your main ideas understandable. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, such as “conveniance,” “moies,” “eassy,” “experiancing” and “flim.” Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural, including “theatres feel” and “home screen”; these reduce clarity and control. Aim to use accurate topic-specific phrases such as “the cinema-going experience,” “streaming services” and “box-office revenue,” and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the cultural and economic arguments rather than relying mainly on general terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate mainly through simple sentences and make some attempts to join ideas, for example, “The digital era has made people watch movies … which is easy for them to access.” However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to affect fluency. In that sentence, the clause after “which” is not formed correctly; “easy for them to access at any time” would be clearer. Other examples include “people how has the taste for it,” where the relative pronoun and subject–verb agreement are incorrect, and “there is always going to be a need,” which would be more natural as “there will always be a need.” Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent. Practise accurate complex sentences and proofread agreement, articles and sentence boundaries.
