Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, some people think that present generations are not interested to watching movies in theaters and cinemas, because they can watch them in online platform. Others argue that both of this are play vital role in economically and traditionally. Howevere, I belive that watching movie in home is far more beneficial although, theaters and cinemas are also important.

On the one hand, watching movies at online is more convinient because we can watch it from anywhere, specially at home, antother reason is that, if we do not understant any scene we can easily rewind it or pause. Also, after a busy week most of people love to staying at home for relax and spending some quality time with there family members and beloved so they alwayes prefer to watching movies from online. However, in online platform there is monthly payment system by this in low budget we can see hundred plus movies where if we go in cinema it take cost a lot for per movie and they extra cost of food.

On the other hand, watching movies in theaters and online is play economically and cultarally, at past online platform was not available so every people went in cinema hall in the weekends, it was kind of one day trip and indrustries people got money from it. There are a group of people who can not afford long trip due to work pressure or for budget issue so for them watching movies in offline like short trip. Also, after a long work and study pressur pupils and employe go in theaters for refresh there mind.

According to my perspective, watching movies in online is far more convinient and flexible for viewers. Also in a limited cost people can watch unlimited videos. And the can pause, rewind and discuss about the scene in a comfortable way.

To conclude, some people argue about the online and offline movies. A group of people think watching movies from theaters and cinemas are no longer important where, others argue that theaters and cinemas are still important financially and culturally. I firmly believe that watching movies in online platform is farmore flaxible than offline.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You present a clear overall preference for watching films at home, and you include points about convenience, affordability, and the social or economic role of cinemas. This gives a relevant response to the topic. However, the two views are not developed evenly: the online side has several practical examples, while the cultural importance of theatres is only briefly suggested through the idea of a “one day trip.” The economic point that “industries people got money from it” is unclear and needs explanation, such as how cinemas support workers and local businesses. The task asks you to discuss both views, so develop the opposing case more fully and make your own position consistent and explicit throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

Your response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the broad direction of your argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several linking expressions are repetitive or awkward. For example, “On the other hand” introduces a paragraph that mentions both online and cinema viewing, which blurs the contrast, while “However” and “Also” are used frequently without always showing the precise relationship between ideas. Some references are difficult to follow, such as “both of this” and “by this.” Group related points more clearly, use transitions that accurately signal contrast or result, and connect each example directly to the paragraph’s main claim.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate basic ideas, including “monthly payment system,” “rewind,” “pause,” and “economically and culturally.” However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations, and spellings are noticeably inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to understand. Examples include “watching movies at online,” “play vital role,” “convinient,” and “farmore flaxible.” Some expressions are also vague, such as “industries people got money from it.” Aim to learn common collocations for this topic and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “streaming services,” “cinema revenue,” and “shared cultural experience” would help you express your ideas more clearly and avoid repeating “watching movies” and “important.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses with “because,” “if,” and “although,” so there is some variety. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction can make the reader work to understand your meaning. For instance, “both of this are play” combines incompatible verb forms, and “most of people love to staying” has errors in the article and verb pattern. In “if we go in cinema it take cost a lot,” the clause structure and agreement are unclear. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses carefully. Check subject–verb agreement, infinitives after “love,” and article use before countable nouns.
