Student answer (Band 5.5)
Few individuals belive that in modern era, theatres and cinemas are no longer worthy as people can watch enternainment through streaming platforms. On the other hand, some believes that theatres and cinemas are still important because of their low prices and traditional values. Here, i will discuss both views and provide my own opinion also.
Coming towards first point, where people are discussing modern era or in favour of streaming platforms. This point is still relevant because nowadays people are so much busy in their hectic schedules, they got no time or energy left to make special plans or to go to theaters to watch movies. For example, an individual who is working in a private firm or who is working till ungodly hours has not that much energy to visit cinemas. He would probably prefer Netflix to watch movie or show, without leaving his comfort zone.
While on the other hand, Individuals who are in favour of theaters or cinemas are also right to some extent, because of their traditional and economical benefits. For example, if people visit these places physically they get a chance to meet other people, they can enjoy more because enviorment matters the most. People who works there, they can also earn their bread and butter.
Although, people have their own opinions about it, but in my perspective cinemas and theaters are still important because of thier cultural history. But, online streaming platforms are still relevant and becoming popular in public because of their convinence and easy to operate. In streaming platforms people have a choice to watch movies according to their mood. But, in cinemas this facility is being neglected.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both perspectives and state your own view: streaming suits people with demanding schedules, while cinemas offer social and cultural value. The example of a worker choosing Netflix makes the convenience argument understandable, and your final paragraph indicates that you consider cinemas important despite streaming’s popularity. However, the discussion is unevenly developed. The economic point is asserted through “people who works there” earning a living, but you do not explain the wider economic contribution or support it with a specific example. Likewise, “traditional values” and “cultural history” are mentioned without showing what they mean. Your position would be clearer if you explained why cultural importance outweighs convenience, while acknowledging the limits of cinema-going more directly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph for each view, and a concluding paragraph that gives your opinion. Linking phrases such as “On the other hand” and “Although” help signal contrasts, and the ideas generally follow a sensible order. However, some transitions feel mechanical or awkward, particularly “Coming towards first point” and “While on the other hand.” The final paragraph also moves between your preference for cinemas, streaming’s convenience, and viewers’ choice without clearly connecting these points. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main claim, then develop it with explanation and an example. Clearer referencing and fewer formulaic transitions would make the progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “streaming platforms,” “hectic schedules,” “comfort zone,” and “cultural history,” so the main ideas are generally clear. There is also some attempt to vary expression rather than repeat “cinema” throughout. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or informal, such as “no longer worthy,” “traditional and economical benefits,” and “earn their bread and butter.” Spelling errors, including “belive,” “enternainment,” “enviorment,” “thier,” and “convinence,” are noticeable and reduce control. Aim for precise, natural phrasing and check spelling carefully; for example, describe cinemas as “less relevant” rather than “not worthy,” and refer to their “economic contribution” rather than “economical benefits.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional example beginning “if people visit these places physically” and a contrast introduced by “Although.” Most of the message remains understandable, but errors in agreement, sentence construction, articles, and punctuation are frequent enough to limit accuracy. Examples include “some believes,” “people who works,” and “an individual … has not that much energy”; the opening “Coming towards first point” is also an incomplete construction. The sentence beginning “Although, people have their own opinions … but” combines two contrasting structures incorrectly. Practise forming complete topic sentences, matching subjects and verbs, and using either “although” or “but,” not both in the same clause. Proofreading sentence boundaries and capitalisation would also help.
