Student answer (Band 5.0)
In the new generation, theatres and cinemas are not belong to people in the modern life. Many people said that in the digital age most people can watch all the entertainment through the online whatever they need. Furthermore, other people believe that theatres and cinemas are still essential both economically and cultually. However, in my opinion online plant from can not instead of both theatres and cinemas.
Firstly, theatre is the place that all of entertainment can show about culture around the world, which can take talents people around the world come to show. theatre is also the one thing to helps economic of their country, if they can create an interesting show because it can attract people who want to explore more experices in culture. For Example, some of country have a lot of talents people who can not show on international theatre. In addition, some citizen may not knwo about theatre show so enterainment goverment can create this chance to attrace more tourism.
On the other hand, cinema is the place that helps economy grow faster. when moive is developing in your country there are a lot of supportor around the world. Morever, it may have some film invesment interesting in your film side and invest on. For example if one movie really popular and have shows about your culture or tourism places it easily to influnce around the world and attrac people want to learn our culture.
In conclusion, theatres and cinemas are still important in the digital live. the country most developing always have entertainment side to help economy increas.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a relevant opinion in the introduction—online platforms cannot replace theatres and cinemas—and return to this view in the conclusion. You also include points about cultural exposure, tourism and investment, with examples involving films that promote a country’s culture. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the online-entertainment view is mentioned in the opening but is not explained in a body paragraph, so the two sides are not discussed in a balanced way. The theatre and cinema paragraphs also make broad claims without clearly explaining how these venues remain important alongside online viewing. Develop both perspectives with specific reasons and examples, and make your position consistent and explicit throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs about theatres and cinemas, and a conclusion. Basic signposting such as “Firstly,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” helps readers identify the stages of the response. However, the overall progression is limited because the paragraph introduced as the opposing view discusses cinema’s economic benefits rather than explaining why people consider online entertainment a substitute. Connections between claims are sometimes unclear, and several sentences are difficult to follow, particularly the example beginning “For example if one movie really popular.” Use each body paragraph to develop one clear side of the debate, then connect each example directly to its main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “digital age,” “economically,” “culture,” “investment,” and “tourism,” and these choices show an effort to discuss both cultural and financial effects. However, the usable range is limited, and frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word choices sometimes make meaning difficult to understand: “online plant from,” “cultually,” “experices,” and “attrac” are examples. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “helps economy grow faster” and “film investment interesting.” Build a more accurate set of collocations for this topic and check spelling carefully. Prefer precise expressions such as “online platforms,” “cultural value,” and “attract visitors” rather than translating ideas word by word.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use some longer sentence forms, including a relative clause in “the place that all of entertainment can show about culture” and a conditional example beginning “if they can create an interesting show.” However, the range is limited, and attempts at complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in verb forms, sentence structure, articles and agreement occur frequently, as in “theatres and cinemas are not belong,” “the one thing to helps,” and “some of country have.” Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, including lowercase sentence openings such as “theatre” and “when.” These errors can make relationships between ideas hard to follow. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses while checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms.
