Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some people tell that in the new era, theatres and cenemas are no important because people can watch all the entertainment they wamnt online. While others say that theatres and cinemas are still useful both economically and culturally. These two statements are correct, due to improvement in technology people use their smartphones and Laptops for entertainment and waching films but the entertainment that are on the ground are not same as in mobiles so that theatres and cinemas are still important in economic and culture.

People use different types of gygets in for the intertainment and also use different types of apps like facebook, tiktok and other types of apps such as netflix for movies and youtube for funy dramas that are the same as in real but only on the screen. As the technology are become advanced day by day, the apportunities to get intertainment increase day by day. It is also a time saving resourse of joy for people who are busy in their responsibilities of life, they can made entertainment online by waching fills and theatre shows.

On the other hand, theatres and cinemas are also have good reputation in society in both economically and culturally, as compared to the online intertainment it is best way to go outside with friends and make the time memorable but on the other hand it takes special time for get together of friends and go outside for any ype of activity but this is very dificult now days due to responsibilities of all the people and hectic daily routine. For example last time on last wednesday, i was planned a get together and invite all friends at Five star cenima in Faisalabad but out of thirteen friends only nine came and other tell us different types of busy routine, but we nine made the day was very joyfull and made gossips and photos.

In conclusion, both point of views are valid on their places, but only the main problem is shortage of time, due to this people do not have time to get together in such type of areas amnd due to advanced tehnology people want all the things on their bed.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both perspectives and give a concluding view that online entertainment is convenient while cinemas remain valuable for social experiences. The example of meeting friends at a cinema in Faisalabad supports the cultural and social side with a specific personal detail. However, the task also asks about economic importance, and this is mentioned only in the opening; there is no explanation of how theatres support jobs, businesses, or local economies. The online-entertainment view is clearer, but several points repeat convenience and busy routines rather than developing distinct reasons. Your position is present, though “both point of views are valid” leaves your own preference somewhat unclear. Explain the economic argument and state more directly which view you find stronger.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph about online entertainment, a paragraph about cinemas, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the two sides. You also use signposts such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion.” However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening sentence of the final body paragraph shifts between the benefits of cinemas and the difficulty of arranging outings without clearly separating those ideas. The long example sentence beginning “For example last time” also contains several events joined together, making the sequence harder to follow. Use clearer topic sentences, divide long sentences, and make references such as “these two statements” and “this” more precise.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “technology,” “responsibilities,” “daily routine,” “get together,” and “memorable,” and you attempt to discuss both online and in-person entertainment. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are inaccurate, repetitive, or misspelled, which sometimes makes the reader pause. Examples include “cenemas,” “wamnt,” “gygets,” “intertainment,” and “waching.” Some collocations are also unnatural, such as “make the time memorable” and “made entertainment online.” Aim to learn topic-specific phrases as complete expressions and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for economic and cultural effects would also help you explain the task’s key ideas rather than relying mainly on general words such as “useful” and “good.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “as,” and “but,” so there is some variety. However, complex sentences are often not controlled successfully, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction can make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “theatres and cinemas are also have good reputation” combines incompatible verb forms, while “the entertainment that are on the ground are not same” has agreement and article problems. In “i was planned a get together,” the verb pattern is incorrect, and the sentence about friends who “made the day was very joyfull” is structurally unclear. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly attached subordinate clause, then check subject–verb agreement and verb forms.
