Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both perspectives and state a consistent preference for the continuing importance of theatres and cinemas. The economic and cultural points are relevant, and the example of India’s film industry attempts to support your argument. However, the two views are not developed equally: the benefits of online entertainment are mainly described as convenience and lower cost, while the cultural role of theatres is asserted rather than explained with a specific example. The claim that Bollywood accounts for “60% GDP” is also very broad and needs clarification or reliable support. To strengthen the response, explain more fully why online viewing may replace some cinema visits, then develop how shared viewing, employment, or cultural storytelling makes physical venues valuable.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an introduction, separate discussion of the two views, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its overall direction. Basic signposting such as “First and foremost,” “In addition,” and “In conclusion” helps mark stages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from entertainment to cultural representation and then employment without showing how these points connect. The opening also repeats “to begin with” after “First and foremost,” and the conclusion largely repeats the introduction rather than synthesising the discussion. Use one clear topic sentence per paragraph, connect each example directly to its main point, and vary referencing so repeated phrases such as “theatres and cinemas” do not make the writing feel repetitive.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “digital age,” “entertainment industry,” “stream,” and “cultural,” and the main ideas remain understandable. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “plateforms,” “accessibilty,” “formost,” and “bolllywood entrainment.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “run their houses through the entertainment industry” and “internet access facility.” These choices can make the reader pause and reduce precision. Build a more accurate set of topic phrases—for example, “earn a living in the film industry,” “affordable streaming services,” and “preserve cultural traditions”—and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help distinguish economic benefits from cultural ones.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a contrast between online access and the continuing value of cinemas. However, complex sentences are often poorly controlled, and errors in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles, and punctuation recur. For example, “people pay money to watch movies in cinemas and theatres as well as movies are the way…” joins ideas incorrectly; “India’s 60% GDP depend” has an agreement problem; and “young generation want” needs a determiner and matching verb form. Capitalisation of “i” and sentence openings is also inconsistent. Practise separating independent clauses or joining them with accurate conjunctions, and check subject–verb agreement and articles. Clearer sentence construction will make your argument easier to follow.
