Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, some people believe that theatres and cinemas are no longer important in the digital age. While others argue that theatres and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally. I will discuss both views in the forthcoming paragraphs.
Highlight first aspects, those people who think that watch all the entertainment in online platform is sufficent. Because, people have a axcess to control the video. For example, they pause the video or play in 2x speeds and they enjoy to use this faclity. A family person can watch a moie at home without spending money on expensive cinema tickets. Moreover, they are serveral platform people can installed in there smartphone, such as netflix, hostar and zee5. They only charge 199 rupees only and they provide 50 to 60 movies. So, it is also good when people watch a movie in their comfortable zone or favourite space.
Shifting to other aspects, why people argue that theatres and cinemas much better than watch a movie in online. Because, they quality of sound are not in onilne platform. For instance, in cinemas they installed high level of sound mechines to build a great experiece. Futhermore, cinemas people they watch new release movie first day first show. Although, in India, theatres often show regional films and traditional performances taht help preserve local languages and cultures.
In conclusion, online entertainment is convenient and affordable, I believe that cinemas and theatres are stll important because they create employment opptunities, support the economy, and help prserve cultural traditions.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both perspectives and give a clear final opinion: online viewing is convenient and affordable, while cinemas and theatres remain important for employment, the economy and cultural traditions. The examples about pausing videos, subscription platforms and regional films are relevant. However, several points are asserted rather than explained; for example, the claim that cinemas create employment appears only in the conclusion, and the economic and cultural benefits could be developed with specific explanation. The opening also repeats the task’s ideas without establishing your position clearly until the end. The response is 238 words, so it is 12 words below the required minimum; this limits the space available to develop your arguments. Add explanation and examples to address each part more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Moreover,” “Shifting to other aspects,” and “In conclusion” help signal movement between points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are joined abruptly or expressed as fragments, such as “Highlight first aspects” and “Because, people have a axcess to control the video.” The repeated “Because” openings and the formulaic transitions make cohesion feel mechanical. Some references are also unclear, including “they” in the discussion of cinema sound and “they provide 50 to 60 movies.” Use complete topic sentences, connect each example explicitly to its main point, and make pronoun references precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “digital age,” “expensive cinema tickets,” “regional films,” “employment opportunities,” and “cultural traditions.” These choices communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make the writing less natural. Examples include “watch all the entertainment in online platform,” “comfortable zone,” and “sound mechines”; the intended meanings are generally recoverable, but the phrasing is awkward or inaccurate. There are also repeated basic terms such as “people,” “watch,” and “movie.” Build a wider set of accurate expressions for convenience, affordability, audience experience and cultural preservation, and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would make your comparisons clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer structures, including “Although, in India, theatres often show regional films…” and the contrast introduced by “While others argue…”. However, the range is limited, and complex attempts are often faulty. For example, “While others argue…” is a dependent clause presented as a sentence, while “Because, people have…” is also an incomplete sentence. Agreement and sentence construction are problematic in “they quality of sound are” and “cinemas people they watch.” Articles and plural forms are also inconsistent, as in “a axcess” and “in there smartphone.” These errors sometimes make the reader work to understand the point. Practise complete clauses, subject–verb agreement and article use, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
